All right. All you people need to freaking calm down. First of all, yes, America is trying to play the global policeman and the world is getting tired of it. Yes, America has spread capitalism...not democracy...throughout the world which has left a good portion (about 6/10 of the world impoverished). Yes, our politicians know they are doing this and continue to pass legislation to keep this stuff going. That is the honest truth. I've been trying to disprove this all through college and it hasn't happened yet. America is not bad or evil...it just has made a fair number of mistakes...just like any other country. America, however, at least in my opinion, can rise above this way of life and become a new kind of power. America, in reality is an empire kind of like Rome. America is at a fork in the road. It can either go down the path of militarism and bleed itself dead like Rome did or it can become the global statesman and can bring about an era of peace. It's all up to America. I love my country; i have the sense to know that it's not perfect. It's up to you and me to make it better. So let's stop saying what's wrong with it and let's try to make things right again.

This sounds like a terrorist speech not a call for change. First of all, this person is obviously not an American and as such HAS NO WAY OF KNOWING ANYTHING about American values, Second, he marched AGAINST the US and is creating "an anti-American stance wherever I find it" (how "not live endangering" is that?) This guy obviously doesn't want change he is creating support for his cause against the "morally corrupt" US. Which would make this guy A TERRORIST.

In my opinion, the person who wrote this writes gibberish, sounds immature, condescending, misinformed and filled with hate. This person could even be an American spewing garbage. The fact that he or she stated ".... so long as it does not endanger lives" followed by (our) "cultural dominance needs NOW to be contested" is contradictory in the sense that the person is insisting that someone/anyone challenge our country in some way immediately. BTW, what is "cultural dominance" anyway? Sounds a bit racist or bigoted to me. The majority of Americans are proud of their values and are decent, hard-working people who want only peace but in a disciplined, lawful world. I would be interested in knowing the source of the comment.

It's completely wrong. Talk is cheap. There is no proof offered of this supposed decay. So anything said or done based upon this empty assertion is meaningless. Just saying that American values have decayed beyond moral worth is no different than saying the inside of the moon is populated by little plaid men.
Most hatred of America stems from petty jealousy of harmless situations. Osama, for example, hates America because we came to Saudi Arabia's and Kuwait's defense against the tyrannical Saddam Hussein. How stupid is that for a reason to hate us? He's just pissed because the Saudis declined his offer of military aid and accepted ours.

Sheesh, sounds pretty extreme to me.
I have seen in some businesses that there has been some bad corruption and I am a firm believer that Economically America must change.
In addition I believe that our courts and laws need to be refined a bit because some dishonest people have taken advantage of some of the laws.
Generally speaking the majority of Americans are honest and caring people. Every country has bad people in it but I don't believe that the whole country should be persecuted for the few bad people present.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Even this brain-dead fool.
No one is stopping any other country from living their lives in their way. Well, except those countries that lust to slaughter women and children in the streets and force their 1,000 year old society norms on peace-loving people across the globe.
It is very easy for people living elsewhere to assume they know what America is about. But they might as well be writing on a blank piece of paper out of their minds, because they are truly clueless. And that is a real danger to the world.

If we are so bad, why are people fighting to get in, and fighting even harder to stay? So America must change in that we need to go back to our roots, and get rid of the American haters that seem to be spreading this decay amongst the people. I believe much of it is the dumbing down of our education system. There is no country on earth like this one. Thank God for America!

Cowards way of putting someone down I would say. I am glad whichever country you are quoting that from doesn't have any moral corruption or deficiencies in its people or government policies. Which one was that? France - now there is a real moral country!

PuterPrsn has thus far stated the best answer in my opinion so I would only add to this that I'd personally like to meet the speaker of these words cause I didn't get a thing this past hunting season and I still have all my bullets.

I think that after the US of A falls, just like every other great political power in history, that poeple will be angry at the new superpower and denounce and march against it.
let's just hope that that new superpower of the future isn't run by a wannabe Stalin or Hitler.
