I fly allot and the cheapest way is too check all the sites! including the airlines themselves. prices will very widely and if you find a good price don't wait more than an hour or two because as others buy the prices go up.

I know everyone thinks that the internet is the best place to buy airplane tickets, but I read that it is not true that they always give better deals. Check also with a travel agent to see what they can offer.

Travelocity.com, Expedia.com, Orbitz.com are three that I compare against sometimes one has the best deal and sometimes one of the others do. And for short notice trips you could try lastminute.com. Hope that helps.

I have a couple links for you to check out:

A package deal might also be your best bet and you can either use the components of the package or throw them away. Check out http://www.go-today.com/site_gtweb/index.asp

Cheaptickets.com or travelocity.com have always shown me cheaper prices than price-line or any others, and I have booked trips to Spain & England, as well as within the US.
