Cats have very limited color in their vision. They probably see something like a night vision scope.

No, cats are not color blind; they see blues and greens (or can tell the difference, at any rate) but not red. These links are pretty informative; the first gives the explanation; the second one shows a picture the way we would see it and the way cats would see it.

Cats are not totally color blind at all, they can see colors on the smaller side of the visual EM band such as purples, blues, greens and some yellows. Reds and oranges appear as mid to dark shades of grey.
Scientific Reason:
Since cat's eyes are built more for seeing light and dark, thus the ability to see better at night, their cones (color detectors) are smaller in numbers relative to rods (light detectors) on their retina. Since purple has the smallest waves, they are the most detected. Red colors have wider waves therefore requires more surface area of cones to detect which is why red colors are hard to see for cats.

No cats see in colors in an inverse spectrum... like to them the color red would be green as would green be perceived as red.

only birds and monkeys/great apes see color. and of course us peoples birds see colors because it is how males attract mates. Prettiest brightest feathers get all the girls. we see it so we can buy shoes to match our outfits
