Try hanging out with friends both guys and girls in a relaxed setting such as a party, a ball game, the beach by the pool or just talking. Over time you will become more comfortable. There is no set time when you should start dating, when the time is right you will know. You may want to date only someone that is not only nice to look at but that is your equal. There is nothing wrong with waiting for Mr Right instead of Mr. Right now. I personnally waited and dated very little and I am so glad I did. I weeded out the jerks and married Mr. Wonderful. Take care and good luck....

Tell you the truth, You should go for it when ever you feel ready, because if you truely don't, and you do it cus your feeling pressured , your not going to personally enjoy the feeling of "dating someone" take your time and just see what you would like in a relationship. We have years over our heads , so we are all able to just take it easy and live life to the fullest, regardless if you have a date or not. Remember its If YOU are ready for the commitment.
Hope this helps , jon

You are just not ready. Take your time. There's no rush to find that guy that tell you you don't know how to cook. Go at your own pace. But, if you have not been that lucky enough to be asked on a date then you have yourself a problem. Fix yourself. I mean make yourself look more beautiful. Or give them a chance. Life is a chance you have. Give to receive. take care.

Say yes once. Take a chance. Just because you go on one date..doesn't mean it is a lifetime commitment. You don't have to go out on a second date if you don't like the first.

Why don't you agree to go out with the guy you choose but double date with another girlfriend and her boyfriend or go out in group situations until you are comfortable dating one on one.

If you're not ready, then don't.
But don't put it off forever. Being scared is a normal part of dating, and you just never know who you'll meet.
