It appears that the average Christian does not truly understand GOD or the Bible. ALL of them will profess that it is impossible to understand GOD, and most of them will quote off scripture to support that claim. Be that as it may, Christians are not entirely without hope.

Luckily Christians spend their entire Christian lives huddled around a flaming pile of unrefined scripture to get a good idea of what it means to be right by GOD. Although the average Christian might have an understanding of the Bible that sounds like the lost lyrics to Jesus Loves Me, it is very possible that with the right stimulation, a person could come the rest of the nine yards in a relatively short amount of time.

Long question short, do you feel that there are new options opened up to those that satisfy certain prerequisites like asking GOD's forgiveness, accepting Jesus, or baptism(a jesture)?

If there are such places as Heaven and Hell, I believe that people will go where they belong. Yes, I do thing that those that slip by the wayside from time to time will still very likely be accepted, unless ther are untrue.

"New options opened up....satisfy certain prerequisites?" By that do you mean "getting saved through doing works" or do you mean "earning heavenly crowns and more earthly and heavenly blessings through continued faithfulness?"

Works before salvation is cart before horse, cart before horse. While it is true that some say they follow Christ lightly, with NO evidence of being born again (and such that call him "Lord, Lord" will hear "depart from me I never knew ye" at the Judgement) it is also true that NO amount of works can earn us our salvation. As 2 Tim 2:8 and 9 (and MANY other scriptures attest) : "God...hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began."

No one who has ever occupied a human body is perfect (except Christ.) There are only two kinds of Christians: those who claim to be Christians and yet have never met Christ, and those who, despite their friendship with God, fail over and over again, and are restored so they can go the next few steps of the journey. It's not up to US to decide the difference (wheat and tares). God knows his own.

No. The Bible clearly states that many who believe in God will be denied entry into Heaven.

The modern day, FEEL GOOD, teachings are leading many Christian down the Rose petal covered path, wearing Rose colored glasses. This path doesn't lead to the gates of Heaven. Today's Ministers teach that God loves them and will forgive them their sins. All they have to do is ask. Jesus already paid for your sins, therefore, ask his forgiveness and you will be allowed entry.

God does love us and will forgive us. He will also punish us. The FEEL GOOD teachings are to attract new members that give their tithe's. This means more money for the church which means more money for the Minister(s). Sounds like the Root Of All Evil thing to me. MONEY!
As long as the money comes in, tell them what they want to here.

I venture to say that as it stands, perhaps 10 percent of Christians will be welcomed into Heaven. Most likely less.

The Christian belief has gotten very wishy washy in these days.

Just read about all the "love" and "good person" ideas above. This is what I mean.

hi, i'm a Christian student of the manuscripts - shall we be lifelike: Do you imagine God is gonna be actual happy with Bob? probable no longer. even if: God is conscious the middle, the position guy does no longer. Thats why we are able to't be good judges. let's imagine there is a few thing absolutely everyone don't be taught about Bob: Bob became abused horribly on the fingers of his own dad and mom who were devoutly non secular human beings, and who were large figures of their church and community. Little Bob had no one to expose to - who would believe him? After years of abuse Bob ended up hating each thing that has a tag referred to as "faith" on it. Bob hates God because all he's conscious is that he became in no way helped through God, all those nights that he cried out and wasn't heard - all that discomfort. Now you and that i do not comprehend what the point became for little Bob having lengthy gone throught that horror, and we easily do not comprehend the recommendations or will of God in all issues. yet would you blame Bob, who's now all grown up, and walks round with the actual and psychological scars that remind him commonplace that God did not rescue him? properly, God is conscious how Bob feels; God is conscious Bobs coronary heart. definite, very in all likelihood Bob received't in undemanding words bypass to Heaven, yet per chance be contained in the very palms of a comforting Christ.

God loves each of his children and all are given every chance to choose eternal life. Jesus was the 4th Epochal Revelation of God to man, and the Urantia Book is the 5th Epochal Revelation.

Read it because it answers every question you could possibly ever have about God and religion.

accepting Jesus and asking for forgiveness are key factors to going to heaven. once a person accepts Jesus, then they should start to try to turn their lives around. and if one makes a mistake, asking for forgiveness is something important, but willingness of the heart is mostly needed. A person simply needs to want to change and follow God with all their heart mind and soul.

Jesus loves you. more then you currently understand.

Understanding the Triune God to me is mysterious...aaand that Jesus is both God and man ,and that the Holy Spirit is alive and well in me, does that mean that I AM? Scientology seems to have a particular angle on that one.
Recently I came across a good answer to "once saved always saved" as my current church tends to profess.. A Church of the Nazarine web site seems to think that one's choice of DEPRAVITY can cost a souls salvation.. Sounds good to me..

I think people should stop worrying about being a so-called good christian to get into heaven. Its not like its the latest cool club its something that no one knows if it even exists. So maybe people should just live their lives good because they know its the right thing to do. Honestly who cares what religion you follow. you shoudl be good because you should be, the end.

as long as the person beleives that Jesus is the son of God and that He defeated death and God is the creator of everything, God accepts them into Heaven.
