Isn't there a vegetable that helps to get the salt out when you put it in.

drop a potato into your soup while it is boiling/simmering and it should absorb the salt.

You can add some cut potatoes into the soup. They will help absorb the salt. Also, I add sugar to a dish when I add too much salt.
