Animals in the bible are killed for both meat and religious sacrifice.

God isn't a vegan.

In the books of Deuteronomy and I think Numbers, or Leviticus. It says: About "Clean and Unclean" foods, to eat... I'm going on memory here. I know for sure pork (pig) is considered "Unclean" food, and very bad.. We're suppose to only eat meat that chews its cud & split-hoofs, both. If one does, only one, and not the other we're not suppose to eat. Fish, has to have scales and fins, if they dont have both, we're not suppose to eat any other kinds..... But, that is the old "Covenant", not the "New Covenant". Jesus, was our "Sin" sacrafice. We're suppose too, pray over our food and ask God to bless it and help it too nourish, our bodies, and any Unclean foods, ask for forgiveness, at end of the day, for all our sins.. The bible also says: Dont allow the sun to set without asking anyone, we've offended, or God to forgive us, and those we've offended for forgiveness. This being, because, the bible says: We're not promised, tomorrow... so to make the most of today, while we have today, and to use it in and for, the better good, of God and about everything the holy spirit, would guide our hearts to do.. Ask God to feel your heart with the holy spirit so you can better understand the holy spirit & the holy spirit will let your heart know when your doing the right things and the wrong things, in life, plus... All three, the Trinity, the Father, son & the holy spirit will fill your heart with thee utmost "Joy Unspeakable" the bible says!!! And your walk with God will be a journey, you will never forget, and no one will ever be able to tell you there is no God, once you've been filled with the holy spirit !!! I will be a "Believer" until the day I die, even though i'm a bit on the fence with my religion, I still pray, everyday, with my children, and ask for forgiveness, every night... God Speed, to you, sister!!!

Until the flood, man was a vegetarian. As a provision for the future, God told Noah to bring the animals to the ark two by two for some and seven by seven for others. After the doors to the ark were re-opened, God gave Noah and his family the right to eat meat, and He gave them the instructions on how to kill and bleed the animals they ate.. Genesis 6:9-22, and 7,8, and 9:1-7

After the flood receded, God permitted humans to eat any animal. The Law of Moses restricted that permission to certain animals. Jesus then declared all foods cleaned. Peter had a dream which encouraged him to kill and eat unclean animals. (Actually, the dream was symbolic for permitting non-Jews to become Christians.)

So, the Bible not only allows us to kill animals for meat, in some cases it commanded it, such as at the first Passover.

it says contained in the bible to love thy beasts, and that we are no more effective positive then they're (ought to doesn't make precise). i in my opinion belive that the bible will be interpreted distinct approaches, it truly is why there's a lot conflict among non secular human beings. and that i imagine in case you interpret the bible the way a vegan/vegetarian does it says contained in the bible that we make sure to appreciate animals. it also talks about contained in the bible that in case you spot an evil you need to do each thing you are able to to end it, and in case you do not then you actually are not any more effective positive then the fellow committing the evil deed. i in my opinion believe the way that animals that are slaughtered is basic evil, therefore why i do no longer eat meat. i'm hoping that solutions your question.

Romans 14 talks about this. Basically what it says is that it's fine to eat meat, but if someone is convinced that it's wrong then that person shouldn't do it. And it says we shouldn't judge others for having a different idea than we do in this particular matter.

Hard to say, really. The commandment doesn't go "thou shalt not kill unless you need some protein and it's just an animal"

People interpret things like that in different ways. The people in the bible generally thanked God when they sacrificed or ate animals and I'm pretty sure he was happy with that.

Well, Jesus fished for Peter, i think. And Noah did eat some of the animals on the Ark, for food. So, if you kill ANIMALS, and NOT PEOPLE for food, it's ok. Red Meat does have iron fro living, and B vitamins. And FISH meat has vitamins that RED meat DOESN'T have for living. So, balance in foods, and living, always.

Animals have always been used for sacrifice even before the flood but after the flood they were also used for food. God then gave dietary restrictions with The Law, and then closed them after Jesus ressurected. We can now eat all meats for everything God created is clean.

Just before a gentile man ask Peter to come to his home to teach him of Christ he had a dream of all sorts of animals being presented to him and the instruction from God said Rise Kill and Eat. I think that answers the question for the christian. As for the Old Testament peoples God killed to make cloths for Adam and Eve. The Priests were commanded to kill the sacrifices and to consume them. The Bible makes it clear that animals are her to provide food for man..

God told Noah in the book of Genesis, that animals would be for us to eat. However, in the book of Leviticus, He tells us what animals are good to eat and what is not. Study Leviticus chapter 11.
