I don't care if it has diamonds in it that help with digestion, that is ridiculous. Do these people realize how many hours the rest of us have to work to make that much money? See the Yahoo!! main page if you don't know what I'm talking about some restaurant in Boca Raton, Fl added a burger to the menu that when all is said and done costs $124. There are too many people going hungry for a few people with too much money to spend that on one hamburger. I felt bad last Sunday night when I didn't give up the last $3 of my $300 a week paycheck to the homeless woman on the corner, my window on my car was open and as I drove home I heard her say I live under an overpass it's hard. I don't even have it as bad as this woman does and I am outraged as these people.

Per Yahoo- "At about 5 1/2 inches across and 2 1/2 inches thick, the mound of meat is comprised of beef from three continents — American prime beef, Japanese Kobe and Argentine cattle.
The bill for one burger, with garnishing that includes organic greens, exotic mushrooms and tomatoes, comes out to $124.50 with tax and an 18 percent tip included. The restaurant will donate $10 from each sale to the Make-A-Wish Foundation."

It's called 'conspicuous consumption", has always been around, and probably always will. It's a way of flaunting one's wealth to others. I completely agree, I wouldn't pay $124 for a hamburger unless it came with six twenty dollar bills folded up neatly underneath it.

I must agree, $124. is staggering, but look: that money doesn't go into a lockbox under the kitchen floor. It goes to the salaries of the staff, and to the restaurant's suppliers. It goes to the utility companies that keep the restaurant cool in summer and warm in winter and well lit year round. It goes to all sorts of expenses, all the way down to the linen service.
That money will go into circulation in 50 different directions. When you get your share, you're free to disburse it any way you please.
