I've heard this one before, there is no answer for we do not have the resources nor the expertise yet to answer such a perplexing problem. but i would imagine that the light from the headlights would travel 2x the speed of light and rip a hole in the time space continuum and cause a black hole.

The headlights would turn on and the light would zoom away at "2x the speed of light"

Perhaps my recollection of relativity is wrong, but I recall that Einstein asked that question and ultimately decided that you can't travel at the speed of light so the question makes no sense. If you're traveling near the speed of light, your headlights would zoom away at the speed of light. But traveling at the speed of light is only possible for particles without mass, since you have mass, you can't go that fast.

I think that the the light would go on but the would be no light rays because the car is already moving at the speed that it takes light to move so the light never gets a chance to travel anywhere ....

According to Al, you are traveling at the same speed so the light would still be traveling at the speed of light away from you

Nothing...it would still be going at that speed, but with their headlight on.
