One ... not all scientist are atheist... Two While scientist can predict and help save people from natural disasters They do not cause them ... God created heaven and Earth all the good and the bad and put people here with free will to believe in him or not as you choose... but even by an atheist stand point the question is quite rediculous.
As the Veggie Tales would say... God made you special and Loves you very much.... try to keep that in mind and maybe talk to someone who actually knows something about religion any type of religion not necessiairly christianity before you form an opinion.. Knowledge is Power

I think you have it backwards. How did the scientists learn how to do those things? You can say school and books yes but the knowledge was put there by men, men who were created by God, not atheists. My faith in this is firm because I can feel the changes the Lord has made in my life. Not all scientists are athiests. The Lord opens doors in their lives to lead them to the knowledge of how to help others despite their lack of spiritual connection with Him because His people pray for help and one by one each persons prayers are being answered by how other people make choices in their lives like a domino affect. So, no I dont pray to atheists or worship them or give them full credit for scientific advances in the world- yes scientists do get credit for it. They receive high praise and acknowledgement from the world but they should in turn be praising the Lord for giving them the giftsto do great things.

It would be more effective than praying to God. At least pray to God, but give the Atheist Scientists the same list, so they can both work on them at the same time. God helps those who help themselves, so God must really be helping atheists, and men and women of science, no matter what religious beliefs they hold.
GO SCIENCE! YEAH!

LOL!.. that's awesome. a little flawed, but very interesting logic.
ask what all the researchers want to do. i bet you anything it's along the lines of "save the world," "make the world a better place," or "contribute something big the world needs"... and "be remembered" might be in there.
while those who pray about it just pray about it, the academics and scientists actually investigate for it... NOW ask yourself... how many people actually read what they write.
anyway, Believers are smart... they'll just say it was God who allowed scientists to make whatever observations, measurements, and conclusions they did... its a horrible circle

On what do you base that "top scientists are athiests"? It is my belief that that is a myth. To me, science is just a way of discovering how God makes things happen.

i dont know where you got your misinformation, but many top scientists are not atheists, they believe and worship one god or faith or another. what they dont do is allow religion to get in the way of science, that is possible you know.

Do love questions like this for the answers the christians come out with. 'god helps those who helps themselves' Ok, helps with what? "Hey, here's a gold star for just doing what you do" The sooner these people turn their blind faith into something productive the sooner we'll progress as human beings.....
