Whether you're a Christian or a Wiccan or Jew or a Muslim you're going to be wrong to someone somewhere.I say, Who cares what they say?If your faith and beliefs make you happy then go for it.Now if a day ever comes where they try to ban your faith or beliefs, then you might need to fight back.

This stems from a strong need to not only explain everything & to have an answer to everything, but also a need to be "correct". We humans have never been known for our tolerance, especially not in places like America.
The Christians you speak of fear Paganism & other "new" (actually ancient, but we'll say new due to recent popularity of the New Age movement) religious/spiritual beliefs because they offer a reasonable alternative that actually makes sense & is in harmony with nature. Much more acceptable than following some book (the Bible) which is undenyably flawed.
They are afraid and out of this fear comes the need to be correct & the need to be able to have a "source" (the Bible) for divine knowledge. They want to be able to explain everything, so that's why you get differing denominations.
Different Pagan sects all believe in essentially the same major things, although ideas differ on minor aspects (pantheons, deities, mythology, etc). Also, the different Pagan sects don't claim that other groups are "wrong", only that thier brand of Paganism is "right" for them. They respect that what's right for one person isn't right for all.

If a person is really a follower of Jesus Christ, then the Bible should be handbook of how to live. It explains everything about any question. The reason there are so many "sects" is simple. Man decided to interpret God's Word for Him. Instead of allowing the Holy Spirit of the Most High to teach and instruct them. And just so you know, this was spoken of long before all these sects were made.

As a Christian, I've also seen the same phenomenon. Fortunately, our generation is starting to figure out that maybe our parents didn't have EVERYTHING right. There is an active movement among churches to unite, despite their differences. There will always be methodists and baptists, but now the predominant understanding is that they're just different styles of worship. Even the bible says not to let such differences divide us.
That being said, there are religious groups who claim the title of "Christianity" without agreeing on the very basis for our religion. Jehova's witnesses and Mormons are an example. (And no, I don't hate either of them.)
The main difference with these separate religions, is that they disagree about who Jesus actually was, and about his diety. This counters the very definition of Christianity, as Christianity is the following of Christ. Thus the word, Christ-ian.
In conclusion, you're right and wrong. Some christians, not most christians, have an "Ours is better than Yours," mentality. But its a trend that is changing.

Most organized religions have a lot of flaws. The underlying message of love and hope are usually lost. I haven't met many individuals who really know the origins or principals of their religious beliefs. Have you noticed how many things Christianity has picked up from the Pagans? The list is endless, but an example is the halo. That is from pagan origins. Even Dec.25th has Pagan influence. People should exercise religious tolerance because most of the major religions have the same messages. People need to educate themselves. Have a great day and thanks for posting this question.

I'm an old country redneck, and I don't have much of an education nor do I claim to know a lot. You could say I'm a stereotypical hillbilly, but I do know one thing for sure, Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation, If you don't have a personal, saving relationship with him, then you're barking up the wrong tree. I dont care what denomination you are or what "religion" you profess, Eternal life boils down to one thing; your faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of God, the Perfect Sacrifice, who takes away the sin of the world.

isnt it funny that Christianity is the most picked apart religion,if it were such a farce as some might think then why give it so much attention? in fact it is a true and powerful religion, the bible states that our struggles are not against flesh and blood but powers and rulers and spiritual forces of this world(Ephesians 6:12)satan is real and is doing his job by causing so much problems with Christianity, being a christian is a personal relationship and not all have a good relationship with him ,but that does not make the whole religion bad or hypocrites

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
The reason sects branch off is because they each think they have the truth. There is only ONE truth and that is the Word of God.
Psalm 12:6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good work.
One sect will change the context of a passage to mean something it doesn't...another will add something to it. There are many examples I can give you, but the bottom line is...they don't rightly divide the word as God intended it to be.

Christians believe in the Virgin birth of Jesus Christ, His teachings of the word of God. That He was crusified on the cross for our sins, died and rose again on the third day. This giving the entire world the opportunity to escape death, and have eternal life in the kingdom of heaven through salvation and acceptance of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. You are just speaking about what the secular world thinks about us Chrsitians. you are not one obviously, so you can't undestand what a true Chrsitian is and what they live for. You see, All christians were once lost like you, and were born again thorugh Jesus Christ. So we have been where you are right now. You can't say that you have ever been a Christian, or you wouldn't say the things you are saying if you ever had a personal relationship with the Lord. It's a sad place to be where you are.

An excellent point, as much as I hate to agree with you. It is true, and I am a Christian.
I would add, Christians are difficult to deal with, but, you still will be accountable to a Holy God for what you did on earth, and the only way you will be allowed to remain in God's presence is if you believed Christ died to cover your sins, and was risen from the dead.
Whether you like Christians or not, which I can understand why most people don't.

People turning from Christianity is perhaps not a reflection of spiritual belief but from disenchament with the churches themselves. I would say that many people retain their basic belief in God but choose to honour him in a different way. There are not so many differences in Buddhism, Christianity, Muslim, and the Jewish faiths. The basic ideas are the same but applied in different ways. Being Buddhist, we believe that our hell will be reincarnation on earth, to suffer our misdeeds until we reach perfection or enlightenment but Christians have only one chance...wait... check out the Nostics as they believe in the River. Muslims believe in Paradise....the threads run through the faiths and show only that we apply things differently.
