It is kitten food i am trying to feed them, tins of whiskers and felix kitten moist food. but still they dont seem interested, i think putting some of the cold meat in with the kitten food might be worth a go. Do u think they are too old to be feeding on the mum still, they will be 6wks on monday?

If they are being given human food, they might not want to nurse from their mom, and they probably won't eat dried kitten food, try getting some canned kitten food that is moist and see if they will eat that.

Did he get dropped on his head? It's unlikely you would know but signs and symptoms are some times along these lines.. also for internal injuries. If he never has ( gone potty) then he may not be capable of doing so. If he is eatting litter, then keep him limited to some place where you can cover the floor in something else and keep him away from the litter. It can screw you up but it might be a sign he needs something nutritionally ( which he obviously does from not eating or drinking for days). Cats and Kittens also like to hide where they go potty some times. So you should really try trapping them in a room where you can view every inch. If he doesn't go potty for two days while trapped some where where you can monitor if he goes potty, then he may need medical attentions. I'm assuming you've had him for a couple days and he didn't go in that time. If you aren't sure then give it three days since urine might not be as noticeable as feces and kittens some times can manage to magically not produce feces for a couple days. I would be concerned about his digestive track ( includes stomach), head, and intestines ( included in Digestive track but people won't accept that). There is also this tricky rare thing that happens where if a young cat or kitten can't smell, taste, or see something, then they won't eat it. So does he have vision problems, has anyone done something stupid to his tongue, and has he recently had a cold? You may want to droplet milk onto his nose and introduce soft food onto his nose,.. then he will be forced to lick it off and know what it is if anything is wrong with his taste, smell, or vision.

Kittens shouldn't be eating meat. Get some kitten milk replacement and some kitten canned food. While feeding the milk starting feeding them the canned mixed with some water and start to ween them.

yes you need to wean the little ones off the meat and on to canned kitten food or warm water sofened kitten crunchies.
their teeth are too small to eat the crunchies in the dried hard state at this time. i made the mistake of weaning my first bottle fed kitten off of formula and on to Gerber baby meat mixed with moistened crunchies. he is now four years old and will only eat Gerber baby lamb meat mixed with purina kitten crunchies. he is beautiful and large with a black glossy coat that could rival satin.
anyway im content if he is, but you don't want to do the same thing so try and sprinkle some of the meat you are giving them on top of some canned meat and slowly lessen the amount of meat from the canned until they eat only the canned. you can mix the can with moistened crunchies too. tip-warm the the canned food or whatever meat you are feeding them as "cold" food is not good for a kittens stomach and can cause digestive problems.
they are better able to digest warmed food. warm it in the microwave until slightly warm to the touch and stir to get rid of any hotter spots in th food.

At 5 weeks they should still be nursing mother cat. (Most mother cats will wean them at about 6 weeks.) But if not, mix a very small amount of warmed skimmed milk ( real whole milk can cause the run offs) with a good quailty dry kitten food ,make it a mash and let them lick it off your finger untill they get a taste and then they will eat. I hope. Its good that they are drinking water so they dont dehydrate. Good luck.

They're not too old to be feeding off of momma kitty. Most vets/cat experts recommend they stay with mom and litter mates until about 8 weeks old.
Don't offer them people food anymore. Mine were 3 weeks when I got them (abandoned at the side of the road at about 2 weeks and turned over to my vet) She bottle fed the little girl, and the little boy ate IAMS right away (the orange label cans...regualar cat food). They were both eating the canned food when I brought them home. I offered them dry food at about 4 weeks. The little boy ate it right away. The little girl waited for me to get home and meowed like she was starving or something.
It's good your kittens are drinking water. get a double feeder and just offer them food marketed for cats/kittens. maybe try dry food mixed with a little water. some kittens like that.

try the wet kitten food, and it sometimes helps to put it in the microwave for like 5 seconds..try putting some pieces of cold meat or cheese in their food bowls mixed with the kitten food..if they begin not to eat anything at all..call a vet

At 5 weeks old, they're still a bit young to be eating solid food. If they're not still nursing try moistenning the dry food with a little canned milk.

Probably because you are spoiling them with real meat. Wean them off the good stuff and they will eat the kitten food.
