Only if you are a dog.

For pete's sake, no. Dog body language is a highly complex and ritualized form of communication. To think your dog is fooled and thinks you're a dog is like walking into a facility in another country and proudly saying "Where please is the toilet?" and expecting to pass for a local.

Yes, it natural for dogs to bite each other as a form of communication, but what that means is that you would have no right to be upset if you try this and your dog ends up biting you in the face. There are FAR better approaches to dealing with a biting dog.

No you stupid idiot!!! I cant believe Im even justifing this question with a comment. You are not 3 years old you dont do something back just because he did it to you first., especially to a puppy!!! You need to think twice about being a pet owner. If a friend accidentally spilled cofee on you would you throw yours on him to get even or to teach him a lesson??? Grow up dude , and try adopting a pet rock , Im sure the both of you would get a long great!!! As for all of you who agreed to bite back, well there is a place reserved for you in HELL!!!!

I think that depends on whether or not the dog belongs to you. If the dog in question is your pet and you are trying to teach him not to bite humans then, yes biting the canine has been proven an effective training method. If the dog is not yours, then NO.

Thats how we trained out puppy on biting. He learned shortly there after that he cant bite people without getting bit back. Its been months since he has used teeth in a friendly or aggressive way.

Sure.....if you're a dog. And where has that dog been? You never know. If a dog bites you, you should say "bad dog!" or something like that, and smack him gently on the head. This way, he'll know he did something wrong, but you won't be abusing him because it won't hurt.

Yes, in the ears. It is the most sensitive spot. I do it to my dogs and they have learned not to bite me too hard.

no, you wouldn't have time to bite the dog back because you'll probably be running from it and in a lot of pain.

Geez, do you ALL hate animals?

No, you don't bite back. Dogs will associate this with human abuse and it will make them more susceptible to biting other humans.

Honestly, I hope most of you don't own animals.

If it's your dog, yes.

If not, I wouldn't. People don't like strangers biting their dogs.
