If you go to a beauty supply store, they have all kinds of stuff. Try tea shampoo, I used to use that myself.

The bad thing about split ends is that you can not fix them. You have to cut them off. Not all at once if it is too much but it must be cut. The dryness can be fixed. At the salon try Biolage Conditioning Balm. Or, try cholesterol at Sally's Beauty supply. Use daily until the dryness starts to go away then use every other day. You should get to where you only need it every two or three days depending on the damage to the hair. Also, when you straighten at home do not over lap the product on hair that has been straightened before. This will cause more damage and possibly even breakage.

In Papua New Guinea like most countries in the Pacific we use freshly grated coconut. Also clears dandruff. Best done overnight.
Massage coconut onto scalp and along strands of hair right to the ends. Put a shower cap or even a plastic bag securely over your hair to keep all the coconut in before you go to bed. First thing in the morning you shampoo out your hair. Do this every three days for two weeks to repair your hair. After this you will only need to wash your hair once a week after you have applied the coconut and healthy hair is yours for life. Please stay clear of chemicals. Natural products are the best!

Slather your hair in conditioner, wrap in in cling wrap, and head outside for some rays. The warmth from the sun should work the conditioner tight into your haiir. Leave it on for a minumum of a half hour and shampoo and condition as normal. Head to hthe stylist for a trim pronto. Your locks will be lucious in no time.

So if your hair is damaged, then it didn't work so good, did it? You should do a good strong leave in conditioner, slathering it on your hair and wrapping your head in saran wrap and leaving it on for 30 minutes or so is a good suggestion. If you've got split ends, then you need to get them trimmed off. Next time, get your hair professionally straightened, and you shouldn't have all the damage.

Use Mayonnaise... it REALLY works! Saturate all of your hair with it using your hands or an old brush - then cover it with saran wrap and let it stay on for at least an hour - then rinse. You may want to do it for a a few days in order for the hair to regain softness.

Try a good haircut. You most likely need to go to the hairdresser and hope your hair can be saved. Try a good conditioner. But the hairdresser is your best hope at this point. Now that you have learned the hard way, don't do it again.

You can go to school and learn to read and write and spell. My guess is that you didn't read the directions correctly and cooked your hair. Are you the kind of girl who says, "I baked it just like it said on the box- 350 minutes at 45 degrees." Wow. I weep for our future. Worry about something more purposeful than your hair. How about worrying about feeding all those kids you have because you couldn't read the directions on your birth control and used it incorrectly. Damn.

I do not know why you categorize your straightening experience "good," when you in fact admitted that your hair is dry and has split ends? I suggest deep conditioning, with products like Loreal's Nature's Therapy, Mega moisture.
