The I-130 form is actually done after he gets here and you are married. You will need to apply for a K-1 nonimmigrant visa.

However, before you can do that, you must go visit him. Take lots of pictures of the 2 of you together. Also, you will need to make copies of any or all coorespondence with him including but not limited to emails, letters, cards and phone bills. They will need to establish a relationship.

Then you file all of the paperwork along with your proof of relationship and an affadavit of support. They will interview him over there. After he receives his visa and arrives in the US, you will have 90 days to get married in. It's best to get an attorney.

I'm still going through this. I have been to Africa twice now. We filed as soon as I got back in late August of last year. We are still waiting for an approval.

Be very careful in this relationship. If he is a conservative Muslim you will have to become very subservient. If you marry and have children you will be in danger of losing them. If you live in his country, he will have all the rights. If you both live in the USA and have children , you run the risk of his taking them to his country where you will have no rights to get them back.
the following is an excerpt form an articles discussing mixed marriges in Saudi Arabia:

"In the worst scenario, an American wife can find herself summarily divorced, deported, and deprived of any Light of visitation with her dual national children. Sharia law decidedly favors men in the dissolution of marriage. And the laws of Saudi Arabia require that all individuals be sponsored by a Saudi citizen in order to receive a visa, resident or otherwise. Therefore, once a marriage breaks up, the ex-wife must leave the Kingdom and may only return with the explicit permission and sponsorship of her ex-husband. (In cases where the Saudi husband attempts to prevent his spouse from leaving, the Embassy can call upon Saudi authorities to facilitate the American wife's departure. The Embassy cannot force a Saudi husband to relinquish the children.)

In one instance, an American who had undergone a bitter divorce and child custody battle with her Saudi husband, applied for andreceive a visa to work with a company located in the Kingdom. Once the Saudi husband and the Saudi authorities discovered her presence, she was thrown into jail and ultimately forced to leave her position and the country."

in love eh? :)

Well, if he is a citizen of any other country, not the US, and he does not already have any legal admission to the US, then you must file for a fiance visa through Immigration Services, www.uscis.gov (only if you yourself are an american citizen)

Make sure he loves you for you and wants to marry you for you. Most moslem men abhor non-muslim women and would never marry them unless they expect a future gain for their own good from the relationship. Don't be surprised when they file for divorce after they meet their residency or citizenship requirements.

Is in IN Egypt or just FROM Egypt. If you never met (online relationship), it will work itself out somehow if it's meant to be. If you're both in the US, then race shouldn't matter.
