Exactly, he's just an over-hyped magician. David Copperfield is pretty amazing too.

In the Old Testament you had to sacrifice an animal to be forgiven of your sins. When Jesus came and died on the cross for your sins it was so that you would not have to give sacrifices anymore. Jesus arose on the third day and is awaiting God to tell him when to go get his children. Which is the saved people of the world.

Your question is exactly the point. He died, but, being sinless, death could not reign over Him since death entered the world because of sin. So if you are sinless, death cannot have the victory, hence, Christ was risen from the dead, thus conquoring death for those who are sinfull (everyone else).

By dying, willing giving Himself up to death, He paid the penalty required for sin (a blood sacrifice), but since He was sinless, could not remain dead.

Hope that makes sense.

If you have a bible, read Romans 5

He died for sin because God as infinitely just requires payment for sin (and in mercy pays the penalty for the sin himself).

By justice is meant "treated equally" (if you forsake God, God will forsake you)

He was resurrected because he had no sin himself, he is the eternal son of God and cannot be kept under the power of death, and he was raised as a man to rule and make God known (fulfill the work of dominion given in the beginning).

Good question.

if you believe somebody died for you in the same respect of attitude resurection seems to fit proper accomplishment on his behaviour. Some can notice a tinge in the back of the neck or sprays in the hands as a sign of atachment or secludeness in affection or love for other persons, such as this is sudden pain to people like myself who feel love for him and others just for the sake of it, being proper characters ourselves. Some even do not accept for a moment the gift of life from him or others and then like the idea of being given such gift in return for our troubles. Do you ever feel the marvel of a sunset, a game or being in a confined event with thousands others, watching the ski some awe in sight of bigger realms of mind and ponder about truths that are said to us in a poor way.

The Qur'an records that fierce oppositon to jesus came fro, the leader of the Jewish community. They called him an impostor and contrived a plot against him. After they succeeded in having him arrested, they tried to get him excuted. Here is where the story get's intersting: The Qur'an claims that Jesus (pbuh) was not killed or crucified: (Qur'an 4:155-159 Surah An-Nisaa (The Women)
(They have incurred divine displeasure): in that they broke their Covenant: that they rejected the Signs of Allah; that they slew the Messengers in defiance of right; that they said "Our hearts are the wrappings (which preserve Allah's Word; we need no more)"; nay Allah hath set the seal on their hearts for their blasphemy and little is it they believe.
That they rejected faith: that they uttered against Mary a grave false charge.
That they said (in boast) "We killed Christ (Maseeh) Jesus the son of Mary the Apostle of Allah"; but they killed him not nor crucified him but so it was made to appear to them and those who differ therein are full of doubts with no (certain) knowledge but only conjecture to follow for of a surety they killed him not.
Nay Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power Wise.
And there is none of the People of the Book but must believe in him before his death; and on the Day of Judgment He will be a witness against them.)

The Qur'an claims that Jesus(pbuh) was not killed or crucified, but that it was made to appear so to them. Certain early Christaian sects also believed Jesus(pbuh) escaped death. Islam is uncompromising on this issue. God saved Jesus (pbuh) and took him to be in Paradise until the hour would come to complete his mission in the end of times.

he died first. Do you know what all He went through before He died? Look it up in Luke or Mark. There is no way ANYWHERE that He was just an illusionist.

I am going to refer you to anything written by W. Cleon Skousen. Or "Jesus the Christ" by James E. Talmadge. Now combine it with the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Have fun reading! I sure am.
