If an eraser does not properly clean it, they sell a dry-erase cleaning fluid in a spray bottle that does. One brand is Sanford Expo White Board Cleaner.

If somebody used a permanent marker or other type on the whiteboard, you will need to find a solvent to get rid of the marks. You can try common things like isopropyl alcohol, but you might have to contact a manufacturer to find out how to get it off.

My father uses a whiteboard in his classes (he teaches), and he often forgets to wipe it off and clean it after each use. Also, regular markers had once been used on it, and the marks wouldn't come off. After trying to wash it down with water and Windex, he took out the Clorox bleach, sprinkled some one, wiped it down, and - presto! The whiteboard was shiny white again. All right, he did have to work a bit to get it all off, and the rag he used was multicolored afterwards - but trust me, it was worth it. The whiteboard looked brand-new, and now all he has to do is wipe it down with a paper towel and some water after each class, instead of scrubbing away as he used to.

I use windex and paper towels! If you have a few areas where the ink doesn't wipe off try a little bit of hair spray then clean that off with a dampened cloth

Towel with warm water. They also make a special cleaning solution for them, but I think it's just Windex.

They have some EXPO marker cleaner, or use a damp rag, and wait till it is good and dry to use it again.

I believe u can even use windex..but water works nice.

I've used nail polish remover before, if the dry erase markers don't come off with a paper towel or the dry erase erasers. Also, I've found that tissue containing lotion, like Kleenex or Puffs Plus, works suprisingly well.

I've also found that the disinfectant sheets like Clorox or Lysol work as well. I end up leaving my messages on my whiteboard so long that they stain. I just used a Clorox wipe and it's nice and pretty and white again!

Good Luck!

You buy the dry erase board cleaner. It comes in a spray and is sold right next to the dry erase markers.
