As long as two adults find a common ground, they work. My BF is 20 years older (I'm 27) and I can't imagine my life without him. We are on the same level in so many ways - maturity, goals, opinion, etc. Like any relationship, it comes down to a balance of give & take, acceptance, and respecting each other. I believe people come into our lives for a reason, and we learn and grow from them. Being in love is the greatest feeling in the world and age shouldn't stop anyone from experienceing it.

I dated a couple of older guys at least 10 years older than I. Some were really great, others were horrible about the same as guys I've dated around my age. I don' think the relationship's last because of the difference in thinking, I think older guys like the fact they can still attract older women, but older women are more what they want because they can relate better. Older women who date younger men, those relationships do well because women adjust better to different situations. (as long as they don't try to be a "mom")

Just my opinion here, but this was a very good question. Take care.

I think that can either one last, sure....but it depends on the two people ,and what attraction there is between them in the first place. If the younger woman likes the older guy for his money, then no, cause when the money is gone, so is she.. But if they like each other just because they find each other attractive and a good mate, then yes!

It's probably more likely that the older man, younger woman partnership will last because younger men tend to have a higher sex drive and so will find it difficult to stay faithful to a woman who possibly(and it's not all cases) can't meet his needs as fully as a younger woman might.

I believe that younger women like older men because the older men seem to have a firmer ground to build on.I am a man of 52 yrs and the younger women like me because I have already gone through all my sowing of my seed and now they don't have to worry about me looking for something else.

well i think both can last, just how you deal with it.

just cause the women might be older then the guy, it could mean she still acts younger or he could just be mature for his age too.

you just have to work at it different i'm sure. i mean i can end with an older men and younger women more then the others.

lovely thought. to the query yes but of course it does depend on the maturity of heart&mind of those involved.
I have met many 22,25 and 28 year old women more elegant, and intelligent,as well as graceful, and sincere than many 40 year olds.

it all depends. some woman and some men date for money...yet there are some couples that get married and love oneanother through rich and poor, and even if the other spouse is 20+ their age. the outer appearence (looks, age, sex) doesnt stand a chance if you love them...
