I think that it is great that you are interested in becoming a Mormon! What you need to do is find and LDS church in your area which I will help you with, then once you are their, let them know that you interested in becomeing a member. The missionaries will then explain the religion a in a few discussions with you and will then invite you to be baptized a member of the Church if you feel you would like too. If you go to www.lds.org you will see an option for stake and ward website, click on it and then you will be able to type in the area for which you are looking and it should show you. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

It's intersting how many people are so strongly opinionated about this issue. Here's my recommendation:
1. Contact the LDS church and request a visit by missionaries.
2. Read the Book of mormon and attend church.
3. Pray to god and ask him if it's true or not.
4. If you recieve revelation from god that it is true, continue to learn about mormonism. If god tells you that it's not true, then don't get baptized and look elsewhere for truth.
5. Repent of your sins
6. Be baptized
7. Continue to learn and grow
ANYONE can become a member. Certain lifestyle choices may have to be changed, however it is a church for the imperfect.
Be careful of who you ask advice from. Bill gates won't endorse Apple. Coke won't endorse Pepsi, Baptists won't endorse Mormons. Ask the mormons what the mormons believe and the baptists what the baptists believe. I've had people tell me what I believe before while I was disagreeing with them. Funny.

A good place to find out basic beliefs about the LDS church is on mormon.org. It takes a lot of work to be an active Mormon but I think the lifestyle is worth it. I think reading the scriptures and praying with sincerity is an important part of Mormon life. There are too many things for me to mention here, but mormon.org is a good place to start.

They're everywhere, pinky! They are the borg, and obviously they won the war with you. Why not just save time? Go to Utah. If you tell them you want to be a mormon, they'll have you baptized inside of five minutes and paying 10% of everything you make, but be careful, cuz brown people are still segregated gradually into their own special brown people congregations. See, black men weren't allowed the priesthood until 1970 after alot of lawsuits because of a revelation by Joe Smith that because black people are descended from Ham, they are cursed in this life. Truth. Have fun. See, Caroline here is a white mormon person. She's already started the nudging process to get you to cry to your bishop so he'll gently suggest it's a miscommunication thing and maybe you should attend with people who will understand you from your own kind.

Look in a news paper for the Church section. I'm not sure if it is in every newspaper but my local newspaper has it. Basically it tells you where the church is, a phone # you can call and the time that they meet. if your newspaper doesn't have this the phone book should.
When you are sure of this you can ask for an interview with the bishop. He will see if you have enough knowledge to get baptized. but please, don't join if you are not 110% sure you want to. some people do it just for kicks and then we get people that give our wonderful church a bad name.
And to all of you ganging up on her, Stop asking Questions and give her an answer! Go buy a painting our better yet go Paint something, tale up knitting ANYTHING!!!

You can find a church near you using the finder at this website: www.mormon.org.
If you would like to join the church, simply ask a member of the church to help you get in touch with the full-time missionaries. The missionaries will explain everything to you.
I am so glad that you are interested in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My membership in that church brings a lot of happiness into my life, and I know it can do the same for you.
