I know this is probably a stupid question and people are gonna say some nasty things, but since humans has evolved and changed so much.... how do we know that God has not changes his ways of how we should live and honor him? It was just a simple question that popped in my head right now and I just had to hear what others have to say bout that.

I read this question under "Courtnee N" "Should gay peopel be able to marry each other?" and the answer from "Chaim H" was very true: "If they love each other, why shouldnt they? If two gay people who would totally honor marriage like it was meant to, shouldn't they be able to? Why is it that a man and a woman can totally defile the purpose of marriage by making it some TV thing (who wants to marry a millionaire... or whatever), but two same sex people with a genuine commitment can't?"

So how do we know that what make us happy the is against the teachings something that God has changed his mind about? I mean I even thought bout ok if he did change his mind he would have let us know some how. But sinner or believer (i dont say not, cause we all are) we all pray to the same God and ask for his blessings and forgiveness.......

God is unchanging.

Since God is omniscient (knows everything), omnipotent (all-powerful), and omnipresent (everywhere at once), I believe that He knew before He created the world what it would be like now and therefore He knew that His followers would follow the Bible even now. So it's logical to assume that if He wanted us to live differently than His disciples did in biblical times, he would have either included it into His Word, or He would find a disciple in today's world to share His desires for us and have that message preached throughout the world.

P.S.--It's not a stupid question, and I think it's AWESOME that you're using your mind and discovering God for yourself instead of blindly following the crowd.

The Bible says that God is the same, yesterday, today and forever. His Word is unchanging. . .it states that heaven and earth shall pass away, but His Word will not, that not one jot or one "tittle" shall be forgotten.

If you truly want to know if God has changed or not, take Him up on His invitation. . .get to know Him for yourself! See, He created you, He knows you, and He loves you so much it's difficult for us to even comprehend.

I wouldn't want God to change His ways of dealing with us. He extends to us His mercy, His grace and His love in exchange for. . .our sin. All we have to do is repent. I'm so glad He doesn't change, that His love is unending. Still, He is just and holy and pure and will not look upon sin. Sin is still sin. It only gets uglier.

Whether gay people "marry" or not is of no consequence except it pulls the meaning of marriage into the gutter. The fact remains, they're living in sin. Making it legal won't make it right. God calls homosexuality an abomination and the Bible makes it all too clear that it is not acceptable. Jesus never met a sinner He didn't love, but He never left them in sin. Love the sinner, hate the sin.

God said of Himself..."I do not change". I suppose that it is a really good question by the way. We see that we have changed in many ways...grown up in understanding of more than at any time in our history. But, for Him, I suppose the most simplistic way to answer your question is that if He changed, then we...as your question would suggest, wouldn't know what to expect of Him, or vise versa. So He remains as He told us. Scripture tells us that God is not slow concerning His promise, because He has a different concept of time. But rather His patience is what is giving us an opportunity to change. So, while He waits, and watches patiently, you can consider it a gift of time to change and grow in your relationship with Him.

Hi, well.... God is pleased with us, for if he wasnt we probably wouldnt be here this is speaking as a believer of god as it where, We have evolved but however god wouldnt need to as i believe that he is so far evolved that one could not imagine or even come to believe so i dont think that there is ever going to be a worry, God will love us no matter what, Let the holy scriptures be your guide.

If you beleive in scriptures, you can see that God hasn't changed the rules during any of that time without letting the world know through a prophet. He doesn't change things, if ever, without making sure we know, and without a reason. It just wouldn't be fair. It's like playing a game--how can we win if we don't know all the rules?

Do you actually believe there is such a creature? Smart persons like myself believe in personal origin and cause, believe in yourself and innocence, do you ever perceive hatred or courage against you? if not, it is easy to discover love towards one, and to see most go as they live, not as time elapses, that is external. Instead of showing disrespect and hipocresy, love is seen and patience show more interest ahead of interest itself, do you realise that? if yes, you are smart and already knew this. Rejoice in the love you provide and the way you treat others including your children, in the way you will find wisdom, not ideas. That tells on your behaviour. Bye.

No, no, no, I think you have a good point!!! Times change so rules change. The Bible was used to control the masses. I think your on to something. You should question authority including God.

1. we don't know, and we dont think about it and we will possibly never know, same as the fact that we dont have ACTUAL LIVE proof that there is a GOD
or,
2. maybe he has, how do you know that the war in israel or iraq wasnt started by GOD influencing our lives and minds?

btw if he wants us to honor him in a different way he should just tell us or make us mind readers =P

The ways GOD wants us to live, difficult question!, but as long as we behave well, doing charity if we can, sharing things with people who don´t have much, and things like that, I think is what GOD wants of us, instead of killing, cheating and lying.

Have we changed? How? In what ways? You think the people of the Bible were that different from us? They have the same emotions, lived in complex societies, and faced many, if not more problems than we do now.

We have not changed, and G-d has not changed.
