Okay so I meet this guy right and right away he starts talking about marriage and other stuff. I have told him time and time again to leave me alone cause that just turned me off. I have even involved the police a several times but he just won't leave me alone. I can't afford a restraining order so what do I do???

by and by since some of you wish to know i live in texas. and this guy is getting on my nerves he just called me wanting to know if i would yoou know do something with him tonight and im talking about movies or dinner he is sooooooooo annoying i told him off and of course recorded it in my notebook this guy is getting on my last nerve this has been going on for about one month now and im ready for it to stop

in california there are fee waivers. i would guess that texas has them too. since this is a non-relative, and he was never a boyfriend you would be concidered a civil harrassment case. and yes, there are fees in a civil harrassment case. in Ca you submit your restraining order paperwork and your fee waiver application together. you would not pay any filing fees at that time. your application would be taken under review by the judge or clerk to see if you qualify for the waiver. it could be granted in full or partially or not at all. you would be notified by mail, if you do end up having to pay. also, call your local court for local agencies who can assist you in filling out your paperwork for free. good luck :)

take it from me. there is no such thing as restraining orders ne more to begin with. they are called orders of protection. and you can only get those if you were involved in a relationship w this guy, or if he is family to you. orders of protection do not cost ne thing. u go to court and get them. they either are or are not granted to you. but u need evidence behind you to get one. like more than one police report, and valid threats, etc. it does not cost anything. keep making reports and going to the police then. dont know why he would be bothering you tho. tell him flat out or have other ppl tell em flat out how you feel till he gets the pic. if he has like your cell number, then change it. get a phone trap put on ur house phone to prove he is harrassing you at home or even on ur cell, then you bust em and press charges against him. or just do ur own revenge on him. egg his car or house. u get the point. there are so many ways to get ppl to leave u the heck alone

all you have to do is call the police and tell them that you feel threatened and ask them to call the guy and tell him to stop bothering you, if that doesnt work then you need to get a hold of the police again and they will serve him with papers to court and you will have to go too and state why it is that you feel threatened. if it is a good enough reason they will grant you a protection order and if he breaks that order he goes to jail it is as simple as that. we are in colorado and you being in texas shouldnt make that big of difference and they dont cost anything if you feel threatened if you dont then then you must feel harassed and then it goes the same way.
