Is it true that when we stand we lean forward and if we try to stand up totally straight we'll fall backwards?

There is a tendency to lean slightly forward when standing, although I think it is possible to stand truly straight. It is true that leaning backwards is unstable. Try it yourself (stand next to a bed or something so if you fall, you'll have a soft landing.)

I've never heard of such a thing...Doesn't a person have to stand totally straight at line call in the military? :) If that's true, then I guess it is possible to stand totally straight.
