I dyed my hair black a long while ago. Im 5'9'' and my hair goes down to just about the middle of my back. I have let the dye grown out so half of my hair is my natural color and the other half is black. I heard it was bad to get the color stripped so thats why I have waited a long time. I want to get it professionaly done and not do it my self. I wouldnt mind a darker brown with highlights not sure. Im just sick of the black!!! HELP.

With this one, I think you're going to have to go and have a professional do it. Don't want to mess around with beautiful hair that is that long.
If a regular salon is too expensive, then could you try a beauty school in your area? They are a lot cheaper, and licensed professionals teach and observe all of the students.

I've had my hair colored many times. Depending on your hair type, and the type of black hair dye you used, you'll probably have to cut all the black color out of your hair first and start over.

i had the same problem
my hairs naturally dark brown
and i died it black
and let the brown grow out
and i was sick of the two tone color
so i bleached the black part
and it turned like an orange
then just died over it with a brown color
and it turned out fine
so i guess it determines wat color u want
even tho bleaching isnt good either
its better than strippiong your hair
that basically kills your hair
call some salons near by
they might know some tips
or might hook you up
with something

Maybe you could do a darker brown with some deep red highlights. I think that would look really nice!

Well go to the hairdresser and cut out the parts that are still black.
