Depending on your location and your budget you can get a real kick it up wedding.
Try having the wedding at ranch outdoors. Make sure to have a plan 2 if you need it. God's country sounds corny but makes are great backdrop especially in the evening at sunset.
Make sure to have a live band. Taped country music just doesn't have a punch. You can also get a great real old west country band. Some one with think that is silly but I just planned one and it was so much fun.
We used bandannas on the tables with oil lamp for lighting. We also were under a tent for dinner and that was good since it rained for a few min. Not bad but we would have been wet.
We planned on a great chuck wagon dinner. If you are interested in some of my contacts please contact me.
Blessings and have a great time.

My friend had did a western wedding. The bridesmaids dressed in the blue jean skirts with the american flag colored vests and the guys wore the shirts to match with blue jeans w/chaps. They all wore cowboy hats. You can also have your cake decorated with rope decorations on it and a cowboy and girl on top. You can have the grooms cake shaped like a horse or a guitar.

check and see if your area has a saddle club. Usually they will rent out facilities for weddings, receptions, parties etc. Also the bride can wear a white cowboy hat instead of a Vail, or mix the two. Think about a barn party for the reception. good luck!!

It can be done really well if you do not take it too far. How about white cowgirl boots under your dress and a country band at the reception. Maybe a bolo tie on the groom. It could be easy to make it look like a circus.

Get married on a horse-ride off to the reception in a park like place with tumbleweeds and cactus as the scene. There are many flowering cactus. Menu? Beef of course

Well, my aunt was with cowboy hats and boots and was consider country western. The girls either had on jeans, jean skirts, or jean dresses. All the guys were in jeans with leather like vest. Also, my grandfather were overalls to walk her down the alise. It was cute. The cake had a man and women with cowboy hats on. She did it outside and used hay and wild like flowers for the decorations. She also did balloon arches. The favors were in upside down cowboy hats of mints.

It wasn't really a western wedding, but one I went to had the groom ride up on horse-drawn carriage, and then take the bride away on it.... it was pretty cool.
