I missed a court date in 2001, it was for a misdeminor driving offence...driving without a licence, no proof of insurance, bad tags....Okay well there has been 2 other court dates which I didn't know about and missed, There was a warrant, so I spent the day in jail, took care of that, went in as a walk in and had to pay 45 bucks for another warrant, when i didn't even know I had a court date to miss, I have a date on Monday...Like I said, The first one was MY bad, I take full responcibility, and I am curious to know if I will go to jail. I have a family and stuff, and If I would have known I would have gone to this last one in April....-sighs- I really am scared, and I was told its not likely I would go to jail...Please help if you have ANY good advice for me...I want to take care of this!!

I am assuming that all these take place in the same court system, if so you need to contact the Court Clerk of that Court and ask her/him what it would take to clear all matters up. Courts would rather have your money than your body to take care of. It's cheaper. As for some Judges they may decide that you don't have much respect for the court and can give you some time in local jail to serve. Making an attempt to resolve is better than not trying.

You need to go and turn yourself in. If they stop you for a traffic violation you will be spending at least the night in jail. Turn yourself in and pay the fines. The fines may be pretty expensive, but if you agree to pay all of them at once, the judge may cut you a break and not make you pay the full amount. You do need to contact a lawyer though, because you will have to appear before a judge and you may need legal advice, especially with your history of missed court dates. The judges may not look kindly on that.

Good luck.

Just go down to the courthouse and pay all the fines. That should clear you up. A few people I know have had various warrants out for traffic offenses but once they paid all the fines plus court costs etc... they were good to go.

I had the same thing happen....Went four years without a driver's license until I got pulled over....luckily the officer was having a good day and let me call my husband to pick up my truck so that it wouldn't get impounded....i would call the clerks office and at least make payment arrangements with them. if the tickets had made it to the warrant department, they will charge more. When I went to pay all fines, costs, etc. in February of 2006, I paid more than $700.00 order to reinstate my license.

depends on the judge. Missing that many court dates is not going to look good. I am actually surprised you haven't been picked up more often. The other issue is why are you spending so much time in court?

Don't bend over to get the soap.

Some states are more strick than others, but traffic problems are most always taken care of in fines and court costs. Also keep an eye on your points on your drivers license
