I'm still kinda a noob to golf and i can't seem to get "air" under the ball any advice?

you have a guy down the fairway hiding in the bushes after your ball lands he jumps out and throws your ball as hard as he can towards the putting green..you can hire someone for about 15 or 20 bucks i think look in the yellow pages that might help if not then i'll do it for 30 bucks but you have to pay my travel expenses

For the driver...hit up on the ball. For all the other clubs...hit down and through the ball. The more descending arc will make the ball go higher in the air by allowing the loft of the club to get the ball on a higher trajectory.

quick answer is use a higher lofted club. i assume by air you meatn on your drives or just in general? with the exception of the driver, i.e. irons, place the ball a little more forward in your stance. standard operating procedure is that the higher number the iron, the farther back you put it in your stance. 2 iron should be just inside your left foot while the 9 iron should be just inside your right (Assuming you're right handed). if you place the ball in the middle everytime, it should gain you some more "air" in your shots.
