I trust in Jesus Christ, not my works, but I still think that if someoene continues to live a bad life, it could happen, they could lose salvation and go to hell. I don't know, but i don't want to find out.

By the way, i very well know that believers don't have a license to sin, we're gonna get judged too.

Ok now im leaning toward that we can lose it. Im gonna (with Gods help) try 2 live a better life. If any1 is struggling with sin tell me about it. Were believers so we should tell of the sins were struggling with. Mine are impure thoughts and rage when someone does something bad to me. I need 2 stop hitting my sisters back even if they slap me in the face:)

Of course you can lose your salvation...if you no longer want it, turn away from God, or do things that you know you shouldn't and you aren't repentant. Salvation is not something that you get and then you can go on about your business...it is a choice and a choice that you have to keep making...everyday.
The once saved always saved dogma is a load...it is a doctrine that preaches false hope to the wicked, and brings doubt to the holy. Yes, God is a forgiving God...but He is the one that granted us with free will and choice...and salvation is a choice.

If a person has received Christ, has acknowledged him as Lord and Savior, and goes astray, God is faithful to him and will not see him lose salvation. God will endeavor to lead the person back to a relationship with him. If a person becomes steeped in sin, Christ has already redeemed him of all sin. It is only for him to choose to accept this fact and change his ways.
For a person who has not yet accepted the Lord, he has lost salvation until he does so. The Bible teaches that the only way to salvation is through Jesus Christ, no, not by works or living a righteous life, or any other way. The non-believer is not condemned now; so that he has the chance to accept Christ, but his sins are a roadblock to salvation until he does.
I believe this is fairly sound Biblical interpretation, and I hope it helps answer your question.

Once your saved, your saved forever. This does not give you the license to sin though. You will always mess up sometimes because we are in the flesh. But you have to ask for forgiveness of that sin when it happens. I believe this because God does not make mistakes. Once your name is written in the lambs book of life it is there forever, until it is your turn to go. That is what happens when people backslide back into the worldly ways. If a person thinks this means it is ok to sin, then I would wonder if they had truly got saved to begin with. When you get saved your want to's change. You don't want to live the way you used to and people will notice the change in you. Some habits may be hard to change but you will be able to do it with GOD's help.

If you can lose your salvation by doing bad works, then that means you are placing your faith (at least partly) in your works (avoiding bad works is still a work). This is the primary problem with your belief and it contradicts both Biblical teaching and the first part of your statement. The other is if God is omniscient, then from His viewpoint, you were never saved because He would know that you were going to lose it. Therefore, if God knew you weren't really saved, then doesn't that mean you really weren't. Isn't God's opinion the only one that really matters when it comes to salvation (or anything else really)? One reason God offers salvation by faith, not works, is because His love for us is not based on our works. If it were, then what you say would be true, we could lose our salvation; but if His love is not based on our works then we cannot lose our salvation because of them.
Concerning Faith vs. Works you may want to read these passages:
John 6:39-40
And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day. And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.
Titus 3:4-7
But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Ephisians 2:8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Isaiah 64:6
But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our
righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.
If even our righteousness disgusts God how can we place our faith in it to save us. Even if we place our faith partially in our works, that part will be found wanting and we will be condemned for it.

One of the most important distinctives in historic Protestant Christianity was that while some thought that Christ's work merely made salvation POSSIBLE for "whosoever will," most of the Reformers taught that Christ ACTUALLY ACCOMPLISHED the salvation of all those chosen for it.
I believe He did a good enough job in His sinless life of perfect obedience, His atoning death and victorious resurrection, that there is NOTHING WE CAN ADD to what Christ has done, as if to IMPROVE UPON HIS FINISHED WORK.
There are lots of great articles with zillions of Scriptures to be found at the web site below under the heading, "Calvinism and the Reformed Faith."

Yes, you can we will be judged on our works and fruits. If they are barren no luck on the salvation part Jesus will be the Judge and read Luke 14: 22
Oh you are young, be careful about asking some religious questions in this forum, it's great to have interest and learn but some folks take things so seriously they get very passionate so don't let it hurt your feelings. Read the bible learn, don't worry so much on salvation do the best you can do and pray to God and Jesus to help you on your path (we all have learning to do even when we're older and supposedly wiser) Thank God for forgiveness :)

Not one of us is righteous, not even one. Salvation is a gift, so I don't think it can be taken away. Look at David, it is said he had a heart after God. He committed adultery, murdered her husband, and yet was still blessed.
I know that the Bible isn't perfectly clear on this issue, but I strongly believe that once saved, always saved. If someone claims to be Christian and does horrible things, I tend to question his sincerity in giving his heart to Christ.

Yes....BUT God is a loving and forgiving God, the only thing that he won't forgive you of is blasphemy against the Holy Ghost, however i think if someone has been a Christan and they lose their mind because of illness i believe he takes that into consideration also I DON"T believe in the jerks that has killed raped etc...spends a lifetime in prison and gets put to death then say they are saved...WELL? why weren't they saved before committing these acts of violence....? I know i will get an answer on this but that's how i feel...some people thinks that once saved always saved it
don't work like that you have to live it everyday...always remember God does not promise us a tomorrow...God Bless you ALL

If you have truly been saved by the Grace of God, then you are forever saved. The Bible says, No man can pluck thee out of my hand. Being saved does not mean that you will never sin. As long as you live on this earth, and have this body, you will sin. We have to pray and ask God to forgive us of our sins. turn from that sin, and live for Jesus. When we get to Heaven, then we will have a new body. One that will be made perfect. Put your faith and trust in the Lord.

Christ's death on the cross gave us all eternal life if only we accept it. We are no longer saved by works, but by the grace of God. If we truly accept Christ as our saviour, and receive salvation, we do not lose it, period. We will continue to sin, because we are all sinners, but if we truly accepted Christ in our hearts, then we would not "continue to live a bad life".
