You can't bring an animal into the country without a quarantine period. In fact, you can't buy a dog in Hawaii and bring him to the mainland. My brother had to quarantine his cat for six months when he moved back to the mainland from Hawaii, to make sure it didn't have any ailments unique to Hawaii that it could bring here and spread to this country.

Animals coming into the US from any other country are subject to a 6 month quarantene. Check with Customs directly for the procedure. Is it worth it?

No, I don't believe you can either walk or drive a Mexican dog into the States. He will have to go into quarantine. The length of quarantine depends on the requirements of the state you to which you wish to travel.

sorry Kelly, but no. The dog has to go into quaranteen for at least a couple of weeks, and there are papers to fill out and fee's to pay. Better just go to a Pet shop in the US.

Better to use one of the tunnels that the drug smugglers use. Or you can hire a Mexican coyote (smuggler) to bring you across with his next truckful of illegal aliens. Saves all the hassle with the Border Patrol.
