I keep having a horrible dream that I know never happened in real life and I would never want to happen. I have this reoccuring dream that my father is raping me. I can't make it stop. I will have the dream one night and not have the dream for a few months but then when I'm not even thinking about the dream I will have it again. The worst part about it is that I have a wonderful relationship with my dad. After I have the dream I can't look at him or come into contact with him. It's not his fault that I have the stupid dream! What does it mean and how do I cope with everyday life after having the dream?!

I am 24 and married. The first time I had the dream was years before I even met my husband. I still have the dream. Also, last night, I had a dream that my husband raped me and that I talked to three of my friends and they were hateful to me and didn't understand why I was so upset.

I have seen a therapist and I don't think that she knows what to make of the dream either!

From what I see the dream, I could see that you are totally in lack of security or just sense of security.
I don't know your background. My guess is that your parents were divorced?? You didn't mention about your mom.
You are married and you dreamt about being Raped by your father and your husband.. That could only means that you do not trust men or just lose sense of security. You don't see any protection from your father (due to divorce?) and you don't see trust your hubby. To you, being raped is the in a way of protection. (notice you were only raped by love ones in your dream)
i can not do much analyzing due to lack of info of your family background... but that's the best I can do so far.... hope that helps...

Me i have had a dream like that befor all u have 2 do is remeber that it was only a dream and that it will never come true and when u r having this dream try 2 wake up that way the dream will end i hope i could help.

I have very bad dreams also and I ahve dreamed that before,but I've had scary and weird dreams since I was a child so i'm pretty used to it.But all u can do is just completly ignore it.I know it bothers u but u know it didn't happen so it doesn't matter its just like a scary dream its not real,its a dream so don't let it affect your real life.Sometimes I think ppl have weird dreams because of images on t.v. or movies.Just don't worry about it I know its disturbing I understand I've had similar problems but u know it didn't happen so just ignore it and it'll be okay.

Rape

not knowing any more about you like your age or ne thing kind of hard to tell but maybe this really did happen to you when you were younger and it is just playing back in your dreams now. Maybe it wasnt your father but someone else. People are known to block out things they maybe cant deal with at the time but then they come back to haunt you. Hopefully you will fig it out and things will be better sometime soon. I wish you luck.

I think I would make an appointment to see a psychiatrist. There might be some underlying problem causing these dreams. I just think it needs professional help. You would hate to live having those dreams if something could be done to make them go away.

This is really worth seeing a doctor about, there is something repressed in you making you have these dreams. I don't think they will stop until you deal with them, it may not even have to do with your father, it could be representing something else.

go to dream dictionary it will help you sort things out and figure out why you are having them dreams do have meaning it is a part of your subconcious mind and if you find someway to deal with it by learning why you are dreaming it maybe it will soon go away good luck to you cc

its so simple, you are so much in live to your dad that you are need of a guy like him. Sex it doesnt mean anything here. The only thing is that your man like figure is your dad so much that you are forgetting about the other guys on the street.

maybe you have too close of an attachment with your dad, and there is something that you want to do like go to college or leave to go on an adventure or date someone that you think he will disapprove of. and maybe you think that this is his anger acting out on you. is he divorced, will he be by himself. if he loves you he will want you to go out and live your life the way he wants to.
