Take the Harry Potter books for example, they're a set of books that have turned an entire generation onto reading, AND YOU THINK IT'S BAD!!! HOW CAN THAT BE BAD!? (And yes I used the caps lock intentinoally, if I could I'd yell at you people through a mike, but I don't have one) Just explain to me how it can be considered bad? Keeping in mind that I'm a full blooded aetheist so your "Please believe" crap won't work.

(I know the caps lock is)

BUT IT IS ALRIGHT FOR THEIR TO BE ALTERNATIVE THINGS!!!!!! THAT'S WHAT THE WORLD IS BASED ON!!!!!!
iF IT HADN'T BEEN FOR "ALTERNATIVE PEOPLE WANTING TO LEAVE THEIR COUNTRY, THERE'D BE NO AMERICA! It would probably have been called something else and be started by the Japanese, is that what you wanted?

The reason that I put I'm aethist is because I don't want someone to try and tell me to convert. I usually don't even tell people that I am aethiest. (Misspelled) That was just a fact that I wanted to throw out there. BTW, how is aethism evil? Just because I don't believe what you do doesn't make me, or anyone else evil.

I guess that the reason I kept saying "you" instead of "they" was because I was trying to have a one-on-one with someone, shouldn't have done that and I apologize. This ichobad guy made some valid points and after the time limit expires, he'll get best answer.
He's right, I was judging all Christians based on the actions of some quacks I met. And I stand very strongly against doing to anyone. I apologize.

im kinda curious why you keep on saying "you" instead of "they". you are pretty quick to point the finger here when really, your doing the same thing you accuse these other people for doing. what makes all of your labeling and judgement on these people ok, but their labeling and judgement not ok? now dont get me wrong, i think it gets pretty annoying when some christians feels they are higher and mightier than everyone else and in turn, they are so eager to cast the first stone and call out everything they feel is wrong. i am a christian and always find myself quite a bit embarrassed when other christians, or self-presumed christians embarrass the faith, like in the example you gave.

this is just on a side note, but im thinking you have had a fair share of encounters with believers about religious topics. and im guessing they all turned from peaceful conversation into heated debate which only adds fuel to your fire on not getting along with christians and you viewing them in a negative way. (this may not be true, dont worry, in a way im not even directing this towards you, i just have a few atheist friends with this problem so i thought id share this idea in hopes that it might open someones eyes who reads this) so think of yourself here. and look back on a specific argument you had. i can almost garuntee that you were so quick not to accept whatever the believer had to say, just because of the pride in which you hold in being an atheist. this allows for negativity to come into play and inevitable frustration on both ends causing for harsh words and you not accepting christians even more than before.

the christian idea is to spread the word of God and show people how great the lord's love is and how it can change your life and especially your death. christians do not aim at upsetting people and making them feel bad by pointing out everything that they do wrong. christians know the love of god and want to show that to everyone, so they try to show you what you are doing wrong in the eyes of god and they are wanting to help you turn from that. you may even be the nicest person ever; youre caring, considerate, and just an overall good person. the mistake that people make who are like this is that they believe they will enter the gates of heaven just for their deeds. it clearly states in the bible that salvation and the ticket to heaven is through jesus christ, and jesus christ only. it even says no man's deeds will give him permission into heaven.

i realize i got a bit off topic here and i apologize, i guess i just got a little caried away.

anyway, i just ask that you dont label all christians just because there are one or two quacks that youve run into. things like the example you brought up is really just embarrassing and ridiculous.

Hi, first of all... I can't speak for all Christians (for the record, I'm a backslidden Christian- in other words, a sinning-used-to-be-Christian). Yet, to help you out on this question I'd like to know why you ask this particular question? Is it because you really want enlightment or because you don't like Christians and everything they have to say so all you will do in this case is twist everything I've told you to counter what I've said to make is seem tha I don't know what I'm talking about. Fortunately, I happen to have some personal experience with similar situations as seen in the Harry Potter movies. Would you like to hear about it?

Who cares what u are? Atheism is non existent. IT'S A COP OUT! You can't be moral because you are imposing ur self on others on what they believe is the truth which is evil in itself! Harry potters book are demonic and poses witchcraft! Children are being deceived that evil is good.

DOSEN'T matter if you BELIEVE in a CREATOR or not!!!!!
YOU are Believeing thing's all the time (unless your in a coma) and operating the "Reap what you Sow" law's thus-ly !!!! If that book (H.P.) get's you into operating those law's in the Negative, then you will reap in the Negative!!! It's that simple!!!! There, I explained it.
Hope this helps!!!!!
p.s. NOT everything that is SIN is "Worshiping Satan", you are RIGHT bout' that. Worshipping Satan is deep, not just regular ole' SIN's (lying, murder, stealing, fornicating, being gay, drunkeness etc.). Later..........

Go to a harry potter site and you will see that its for witches and the occult !

It opens the minds to young people that its "ok" for alternative things like black magic and demons and all that nonesense...

Satan gets in every crack and nook and cranny and you just let him in between the pages...

I applaud that the kids are reading more, but, lets get them wholesome books to read.

I wish you well..

Because people fear what they do not understand, condemn those who do, and recoil from making an effort to understand.
