Hi I emmigrated 7 years ago from Bournemouth Dorset to Regina Saskatchewan, I now live in Vancouver BC... It is sooo worth it I have had the time of my life (and yes I have a child, so not foot loose and fancy free)... And the greatest thing about it is - I can always go home...

Where are you migrating from? And why do you want to come to Canada? If you just want to migrate to Canada because there are 'perks' you don't get somewhere else, that doesn't make a lot of sense. How will you support yourself? Do you have job skills that are easily transportable, or are you independently wealthy?
Your best bet is to visit Canada -- spend some time in several of the major areas (because they are all quite different. It's hard to believe Montreal and Regina are in the same country, but they are!) and see if you like what you find there.
Migrating to Canada is a little more difficult than simply taking a plane across the border. There are restrictions to immigration (again, these vary depending on where you are coming from) and the necessity to show an ability to support yourself.
It's a great country, but first you should just enjoy visiting it, then go back home and think things over before you start talking about migrating.

The UN's Human Development Report, ranks 173 countries for their quality of life, using indicators such as life expectancy and income per person. CANADA ranked 4th. Canada has been consistently in the top 5, usually was the first but ranked fourth when progress for women were measured.

Absolutly amazing! I live in Canada and am Canadian! This is the greatest country in the world. Free health care, great education system, awesome and funny people, lot's to do, taxes are higher but everything else necessary is cheaper here.

It's fine, just like it would be anywhere else. I live here, I love it. We have some nice beaches, cool bars, variety of people and cultures, and awesome health care. The employment is doing good and our dollar is rising. There's big cities, small towns and lots of wildlife and different attractions. And we're generally nice people.
Take your time to way out the pros and cons, you'll make the right decision for yourself.

Canada is the best place in the world to live me and my wife have lived all over the world and canada is our favorite place.

depends why you are emmigrating
Canada is generally very accepting of newcomers, colour and sexual orientation are not an issue. Good education system, clean, safe, healthcare.. you pay more taxes here than you would in the States - but those taxes get spent on people not war...
