The only thing I think would probably come from eating too many olives is some seriously unpleasant internal plumbing problems. You should probably slow down a bit and limit yourself to just a small amount per day.

There must be some nutrient in olives that your body is needing right now. I wouldn't worry too much about it. It's unlikely that you would overeat on something like olives. After this olive kick passes, you may not want them again for a long time.

I've never heard of olives being bad for you, but they are a fairly oily food, and like most oily foods, continual consumption may induce diarreah until your body adjusts to an increase in oil consumption. Other than that, I'd be more concerned with the contents of what the olives are being packaged in (ie salt water).

Too much of anything can be bad for you. All things in moderation. Olives might have a little nutritional value, but they're high in salt, so be careful.

How many is too many?? I am sure you are fine. Olives are fabulous food. I would recommend green olives from Seville. They are wonderful - particularly with an olive oil, lemon, garlic and chili marinade!

If you have a sudden craving for a particular food, it could mean there's a vitamin or mineral in that food that your body needs; maybe you should consider taking a good multi vitamin or mineral. It could also mean that you are not drinking enough water and getting dehydrated, and you are drawn to a salty food to make you drink more.

I don't know but have you thought about trying to grow an olive tree. Might make it cheaper for you in the long run.

Olives are good for you but have more calories than you would think. You also have to consider what they are in...salty liquid or natural or what. I have eaten quite a few at a time. I love them. I like to add them to my spaghetti too which most people don't.

The green ones are the best! Very high in sodium though. Once I eat one, I could eat the whole jar!
