Sounds easy but it is definately not. Don't keep them around the house. And just don't eat them. Good luck.

I can help you, because I have been avoiding them, I am trying to lose weight and it has worked. Here I go, I would say think of the cavities or how bad your teeth will look when you keep eating sweets and stay away from them, the kitchen, it will be easy, just don't think about it. Instead try frozen yogurt or something sweet but healthy like get a fruit or a vegetable and dip it in sugar free things. Sweets can be healthy at a time but not always, so choose the healthiest and you will be at your best. I use that quote, I know you will like it. Good luck.

Its very difficult to avoid sweets so you should chew sugarless gum or eat just a small portion of it and stop

Here's a tip I heard a long time ago when I managed several weight loss clinics. Every time you get a sweet tooth craving, try sucking on a lemon. (I know it sounds weird but somehow it *retrains* your taste buds to block your sweet tooth).

Try snacking on carrot sticks, celery, dried cereal (low sugar), yogurt, rice products (cookies/crackers). I know that this sounds boring but once your body gets used to not having as much processed sugar, your cravings will slow down. Drink lots of water (not soda) and enjoy herbal teas.

One way to help reduce your craving for sweets(IE cakes, candy, etc) is to eat fruit. It will give you a good dose of un-processed sugar and is lots better for you.
Good Luck

don't keep them in your house
don't walk down the grocery aisle they are in
but you will run into them as much as you try not to. You've got to have the willpower to just not eat them
