Why not they have a right to show the world this is who i love and plan to spend my life with I am just not sure if God would recognize it most of the gays I know dont want Marriage as much as a recognized civil union and I support that.

I have nothing against gay marriage. I would rather see a loving gay couple than a loveless straight couple anytime.

I am in total support of it! Marriage is a celebration of love, regardless of who you love!
I wouldn't say that people against it are stupid, but they do tend to be highly intollerant. I am a christian and I refuse to believe that "God hates gays" He is loving and accepting, something more christians should try to emmulate.

It is up to each church to decide for itself the basis for confering or denying the sacraments of that church. If Southern Baptists choose to deny the sacrament of marriage to homosexuals, they have that right. If Unitarians choose to confer the sacrament of marriage on homosexuals, they have that right. And government should keep the hell out of religious matters.

Gays can fiddle with each other all that they care to, and they can make any kind of contract with each that they care to, but to me, they can't marry each other. Marriage is and always was between one man and one woman.
Yes, we all know that there's nothing in the constitution saying two men or two women can't marry. Also nothing saying you can't marry your dog. Or a woman can't marry sixteen men.

my best friend's father just got married and it was a beautiful ceremony ... very original and he and his husband were so happy and in love!!! I thought it was great!
