Because they are dumb and don't understand why Jesus told us to baptise:

1Pe 3:21 Baptism, which corresponds to this, now saves you, not as a removal of dirt from the body but as an appeal to God for a good conscience, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

Ht is just to symbolize that the parents promise to bring the child up in the church and under the teachings of the Bible. Being baptized does not cleanse you of your sins. Confessing that you are a sinner and asking Jesus into your heart and praying for Him to forgive your sins is what cleanses you of sin.

Speaking from an ex-Catholic point of view, they normally baptize babies to erase "original sin" (the sin committed by Adam & Eve when they ate from the Tree of Knowledge). Catholics believe that all babies are born with the stain of original sin (except the virgin Mary & Jesus), and if not baptized & they should die, they will not go to heaven, but instead reside in Limbo - an in-between place betwwen Heaven & Hell, neither bad or good, but not in the presence of the glory of God the Father, either.

Babies do not get baptized. They get christened. Its a ceremony of starting the child on the right path toward following the teachings of God and being a good Christian. It's basically blessing the baby. As the child grows up its the parents responsibility to bring them up in the church and help them understand why and how Jesus died for our sins. It will be up to them later when they can make their own decisions to be baptized.

You are correct. Baby baptizing is NOT a christian practice. NOWHERE doyou find it in the bible. One must know they are repenting to have their sins forgiven.
A baby's only sin is being born human. The bible speaks of an age of accountability and I think that that age is different for different people. You are accountable when you know you are lying, stealing, cheating ect. Only then do you need to repent and be baptized.
Read Acts 2:38,39. Who was present, ALL ADULTS, "Men and breathren, what shall we do?"!

Catholics believe that because of Adam and Eve we are all born with the stain of Original Sin. We are baptised to cleanse our soul. Good people who have not been baptised cannot enter Heaven but spend Eternity in Limbo. (We claim that those good people born before Jesus, and are therefore not Baptised also enter Limbo - (I am sorry, but I do not accept this - my God would never be that cruel).

The parents are sinners meaning the baby is a sinner....its in His flesh...the babys human.....that is why God gave Mary Jesus in the way He did that way Jesus would be perfect and not have any sin in His flesh.....but i dont agree with baby's being babtized....i think its a choice the child will have to make itself.

Some people just don't know any better. A baby doesn't have any sin. In order to sin, you would have to know right from wrong. How would a baby know right from wrong?

it is to cleanse the sins you are going to commit. (and we all will) Many religions believe that unbaptized persons can not go to heaven, so babies are baptized in case of an early demise.

Yes, it is to wash away sin. A baby does not have sin and really should not be baptized....
