The fact that he is taking a daily aspirin is why he is bruising even easier! Doctors often order a daily aspirin to keep the blood thin to prevent strokes and heart attacks as a person ages. Since aspirin "thins the blood", it also increases the chance of bruising.
Have your father tell the doctor about the bruising just to make sure there aren't any other issues but the increased bruising, on its own, it totally expected on an aspirin regimen.

If he is taking an aspirin a day, then I would say he has heart issues you have not mentioned. If this is true he is probably taking other meds as well and if you take any kind of blood pressure medicine or blood thinner to make it easier for your heart to pump you will get those red type blood bruises if you bump yourself because the blood vessels near the top of the skin are dialated to let the blood flow. and they get broken easily and you get the red like bruise places on you when that happens.

Aspirin can cause you to bruise more easily. Aspirin taken on a daily basis can cause bruises like the one you describe. However, your father could call his doctor just to confirm that this is not a sign of something more serious.

I bruise easily too but not like that. You may want to warn your father from taking medication everyday and just go get that checkd as soon as possible. there may be something with his blood or whatever that may be causing his body to react so suddenly. please help him out and help yourself out by getting that checkced and making sure that everything is safe. and the doctor could also suggest some home remedies for you as well because they know a lot.

You should definitly talk to a doctor about this. Its not normal, and I have a feeling it is linked to a skin disorder of some kind. Bruising easily is dangerous and can lead to infections, as well as it may be a sign of a larger problem.

I think your fine. its probably cause your not used to it and from turning in for the stir-ups. Your legs are probably also sore. And if its bruised more on one side is probably because you turned to one side more or your putting more pressure on one side. Good Luck and Dont stop riding

I agree with the other poster about seeing a doctor. Two things that jump at me. Would be his iron level, and asprin is a blood thinner.

high iron food & cook in iron skillets
dark-colored vegetables and banannas are high in potassium and that may help
i think its the mixture of calcuim & potassium in our body that makes us bruise easily.....try increasing both of those
& never ever ever use 'meat tenderizer' when cooking, the best tenderizing method is using a meat hammer
