The Hebrew Alphabet is made to stand for both a letter and number. Ancient Hebrew game was to see what the letters of your name equalled to the numeric value of the letter. I think that if 666 is to apply to a name, this is the form is will occur in, not counting American letters that are equal to 6 6 6. What say you??

Yes you are right about the Hebrew letters standing for both a letter and a number; it is just like in the Roman Alphabet. We just use the numbers today, but back during the Roman Empire they had the alphabet and the numbers.
Actually it was a mistranslation and the numbers are actually 616. Scholars translated them and it translated to Nero. Nero Caesar was one of the most violent and worst emporers in the history of Rome. The Roman Emire rule Judea/Israel around the time of Jesus, and Nero was the Emperor.
