Devil worship reports are MYTH. That's why you can't name one person who seriously worships Satan, except people with severe mental illness who can't function normally. Those who claim to worship satan are are just joking, making fun of people who believe that the Devil is real! It's sad that so many answerers just accept the premise of your question like it happens all the time!
Satanism is a myth that is perpetuated by Fundamentalist Christians, to generate a threat where there is none and draw attention to their cause. There have been no confirmed"satanic killings" on record I think since early in 1970 and none before that for 20 or so years. It's pretty much made-up nonsense.

Ok, I've read some of the answers now and I can't believe the ignorance! How can so many believe that satanism is going on around them, THERE IS NO EVIDENCE, PEOPLE!!!!!!

Well whether people want to recognize it or not, this world is a spiritual word divided on 2 sides. One would be God and the other Satan. Satan is working very hard at trying to deceive people by worshipping other gods, thinking that there is no god, thinking that Satan one day will rule. Of course the best known deceit is the one where Satan has convinced people that he does not exist and there is no such thing as hell when most assuredly there is a place called hell.
People today want things so fast. Just look at the internet and all the technology we have today. Things can get done so much faster and this does not help our instant gratification society. The lure into worshipping Satan is the earthly rewards that you receive. Some people however are tormented by worshipping him and sadly Satan leads them to believe that this is what they want and uses them for his own selfish wants. People are so easily blinded that they do not see worshipping as destructive no matter what is going on around them.
How sad is all of this when there is truly a saviour that loves them and wants nothing but the best for them when this life on earth is through and His name is Jesus.

People usually worship the devil to gain some form of power but you'll find not many people actually worship the devil.
Satanism for instance isn't actually the worship of Satan or infact any one single entity its more the worship of enjoyment of life and not abiding to the rules set through the bible (hence why its called Satanism)
Then again this all depends on the persons believes. I for one am an Athiest

I've never met one Satan worshiper in my entire life.
The closest I've seen is goth. and that's more about vampires.
I'm not saying that there aren't any but They are in such small numbers that they are no threat to the billions of Christians who fear them.
Devil worship is an urban myth supported by fear.
Most atheists don't buy the entire story of God and Satan. To worship Satan is admitting there is a God on the other side so you lose atheist stature if you believe in any deity.
So atheists and Christians have one thing in common. They don't worship Satan. Who's left to worship him?

they worship the adversary ,because they found that they must give up some of the guilty pleasures of this world in order to live as the true GOD would have us live.As with the devil, he is the epitamy(i probably spelled that wrong!) of lies, deciet and sin, so they need not worry about chastisement.besides that, the devil is "god" of this world , so obviously , this wolrd would be dumb enough to worship him.

The devil is a deceiver. He is not using angels today but he is using people to spread false doctrine. 2 Corinthians 11: 13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 2 Corinthians 11: 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.2 Corinthians 11: 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Because Satan entices them that if they worship him he will give them all the power, money, prestige, peace, love, harmony, etc to make their life fulfilling. In reality he is enslaving them.
Only Jesus can make a person see the truth when they are to the point where they worship the Devil...

Well, I don't believe in the devil but you ask a valid question.
There are people so spiritually bankrupt that they will turn to whatever strength they perceive.
Too often, it seems that they turn to some dark force, like the hypothetical devil.
Some even cling to cult religions (think Jim Jones and the Peoples Temple - see link).
Sad, but true.
So many people in search of truth and power...when all the answers are within us, courtesy of God.
