My son is 3 too... When i taught him to potty train he wouldn't go # 2 either.. So I told him if he would say by to his poop mommy will be very happy and i let him flush the toilet.. So even now when he poops he says bye bye poop and flushes... You just have to make it a game.. I know it sounds kinda funny but it really helped with him... Good Luck!!!

It happened the same with my kid. We tried lot of force but it didnot work. May be it is some kind of change and he is not able to logic it out. We then tried the carrot and stick (as nothing else was working ). We asked him, if he does it, we will rerward him with $5 each time. He started doing it once and then after some days of hard work from both of us, we managed a success

We had this same problem with our first. What worked for him...there was a really special toy that he wanted...we kept telling him he would get the toy when he went....we had already purchased it and had it in a closet so when the big event happened we could follow through with our promise...then one day he did it!!!! Just be patient and encouraging...it will happen!!

he's only 3, relax, he will master it when he is ready. Also there are physiological factors involved too. you can't push him, or rush him
