With parents that will leave at about 1:00 A.M. Children attending as well. Its basically a family and friends party. Not a wild night out.

I don't see why not. Just make sure nobody goes over their limit, and don't let anyone drive home drunk. Also make sure that the liquor is kept away from the children, as they are curious little devils and will try to sneak a sip when nobody's looking. My father has parties where there are a few children, and people drink, and everything always works out fine. Responsibility is the key. As long as you know and trust the crowd attending, I can't see it being a problem.

Yes, you could serve wine and spirits, but have non-alcoholic drinks ready on had for the children. Grenadine and 7up is a "Shirlee Temple" Grenadine and coke is a "Roy Rodgers" . I like 7up and Cranberry juice. If you serve raw vegetables, little blocks of cheese or both, then you'll make it healthy.

Yea if you want just do it in moderation, what time are the children leaving, that really doesnt matter though, cause it's up to there parents to watch them along with other adults keeping and I I really don't see anything wrong with it I do it all the time

I think it would be appropriate to have alcoholic beverages at a get-together like this...just make sure that you have plenty of non-alcoholic options for those guests that choose not to drink. And always make sure that if a guest does choose to consume alcohol, that they have a designated driver! Have fun and be safe! : )

Sure, for the womans you can choose a Vodka, while for the man you can choose a whisky. If you are going to eat first, then wine or champagne. If its very very informal you can even choose for some beers
