I had a girlfriend a while back and our relationship ended on bad terms with her feeling that I violated her trust and was too clingy. I've since come a lifetime into understanding myself and am totally different but she didn't get to see the change. Now I am in contact with her occasionally and we share some friends but she is very cold and standoffish towards me. Is it possible to regain that trust?

what type of trust level are you trying to create, only time and shared experiences together can regain trust, but if you dont do anything that she depends on you for how will she ever know she can trust you...maybe she really doesnt need to trust you anyways

Well you both have to talk about it tell her you really wanna be her friend again and show her how you've changed. If she doens't notice point it out! I would be cold too, and I tihnk what you need to do too is just be nice dont yell or start and argument on the subject just talk and remain calm.

Just be honest and a little friendly. Show her by hanging out with the rest of your group that you can be fun, but stand on your own. Give it time.

You will have to show her that you change, and depending on how hurt she is, it will take some time.
