I go by Umm Ali. That means mother of Ali in Arabic. When you don't want people to know your real name or you prefer to use a nick name this is how some people do it. You take your oldest son or if you have no son then your oldest daughter. If your a man you would say abu instead of umm. Like my husband is Abu Ali. A lot of people call me Umm Ali not just on the internet, but those I don't know personally only, especially on the internet, only know me as Umm Ali.
