It means the girl he's liking doesn't mind the showing of affection, and doesn't mind being loved. And that the girl before her did mind all of that, was a stupid coward.

it probably mean that he doesn't like a girl that her whole focus in life is on how good she looks and nothing more he wants someone who thinks beyond that deeper basically he doesn't want a stupid girl in my opinion
