This has got a name: egocentrism. It is very common in young children, maybe teenagers, but as you get older and more mature, this feeling tends to disappear or to develop into something more useful: like self-preservation. Some people, however, will remain self-centered, but only if they are really unable to meaningfully connect with other people, to fall in love, to make friends, etc.
Actually, as you age, you become more of an eccentric, which means that it no longer matters that you remain the center of the universe, provided that you are regarded as someone unique and special. What matters is your specificity, not your centeredness. And probably you will come to the obvious conclusion that every person is both a specimen and someone like everybody else. No big deal.
Indeed it may be dangerous to be (or to feel as if you were) the center of the universe, because you become an easy target.
This feeling will pass, I am sure, but while you are there, you are not forbidden to enjoy a little delusion. It is a part of the process of growing up.

I think it is common for people to feel that way from time to time since we can't take a vacation from ourselves. Only you can complete experience what you feel even when people around you are laughing and crying with you over the same thing.
During these times it seems like everything is happening to only you and maybe everyone else doesn't seem as real or they revolve around you. I think I know the feeling you are describing, semi out of body, weird funky feeling as if you are on the verge of discovering some great answer to the universe or you think you are the center of the universe. The feeling goes way or you realize, gosh i am so small compared to the entire cosmos it's not possible but it feeling has to mean something, right? :)

You very well maybe the center of someones universe. I hope you have that kind of love in your life. You are the center of your own universe, nothing can happen in your personal world you don't allow. But in the grand scheme of things probably not.

We are all the center of the universe we are a design from the creator of all thing , each part of us is taken from particles of that universe, so we are perfectly designed , with that in mind we also have to make choices this then can change all that is good, however if you you believe in yourself , then all things are possible and that perfectness remains.

Who are all these people who do not know that I am the centre of the Universe.
As the central hub of gravitation do you think I should shrug and let them fly off into outer space?
