Few days ago i got this huge spyware attack. During that time, i double-clicked on Internet Explorer, but it doesn't open. After i deleted all the spywares, the Internet Explorer still doesn't open. I thought that there were some problems with the Registry, so i got the latest version of Registry MechanicTM and fixed 600 some problems with the registry, but the IE still doesn't open. Then i downloaded the all new IE 7 beta 2, but this time i can open it but it stays blank and stops responding, so i had to force it to close. Then i thought i might uninstall IE completely and download it again, but it cannot be uninstalled(not in the "Add or Remove Programs" or any uninstall program). I also tried the IE fix program that i downloaded...that didn't work. So now i'am using another Browser on BitComet.
Someone please help me solve this problem.

IE is an integral part of the Windows Operating System. Can you right click on a drive like your C: and choose Explore. If you can then continue using a freeware browser of your choice if not the you will want to back up and reformat your Machine and reload Windows. You might also want to invest in some decent Firewall and Anti virus Software or again download for free.

Try this: Start -> Run -> Iexplore.. this should make the internet explorer work for you temporarily. Reporting the error will not give you a solution, it just goes into a microsoft data base. Paste the error contents in the question.. that will give me an idea as to what is causing it in the first place.

if that's all your probs i would strongly suggest you back up yur data file but just your data files then format your HDD and re-install your OS, keep Windows and IE security up to date but i would suggest yuu use either opera or firefox as a web browser, IE is riddled with security flaws
