Let's see, My mom and dad made me. When I grew up, I made my own decisions. I made my own business. I made my own mistakes. I paid my own debts. I bought my own toys. I bought my own car. I pay my own mortgage. What were you asking about god again?

Mount Rushmore ... evidence of design
by Paula Weston

"It's obvious then, that the Mount Rushmore National Memorial is the product of an intelligent designer, as surely design points to a designer?"

"How is it then, that those who subscribe to the theory of evolution can believe the memorial itself was deliberately designed, when the very men it honours were not?"

"They will tell you man's existence — and the existence of the Presidents immortalized in rock on Mount Rushmore — is nothing more than the result of a series of unexplained, chaotic, biological accidents, interacting with whatever environments happened, by chance, to be there!"

"No one doubts the memorial is the work of an intelligent designer, yet much greater design and laws in the universe are overlooked, or disregarded, by people who believe that evolution produced everything in existence, with no intelligence or design behind it."

"This makes no sense."

"History tells us Gutzon Borglum was the designer of the Mount Rushmore National Memorial; the Bible tells us God is the Designer of the universe, and man was made (designed) in his image (Genesis 1:26)."

Ok first off God didn't Himself design mount rushmore. Not real sure where that little tid bit came from. He did however create the person that did and gave them the creativity to design it. He also gave every person in the world free will and the ablity to be who ever they want to be and that ability to do what ever they can.

Little known fact:

Originally Mt. Rushmore was to be made completely out of the bodies of dead Native Americans. Apparently, George Armstrong Custer came up with the idea but he had an unfortunate (for him, not the Sioux) meeting with a tomahawk.
Later there was a plan to build it out of run away slaves. But Harriet Tubman put a stop to that.
Still later they planned to use Chinese immigrants, but they were too effective at building railroads.
Eventually the politicians and robber barons compromised and decided to just carve it into the side of the most secret mountains of the Lakota Nation (Sioux). So everyone was happy. (Except for the Sioux.)

In a manner of speaking yes....God did create both Mt. Rushmore and the artist and team of artists that designed the sculpture.

No, I'm a Christian and I know that Doane Robinson designed Mt. Rushmore. The carving, anyway. If you mean the mountain that it's carved into...well, that's a different question.

God did not design Mt. Rushmore...

However, I do have it on good authority that it was he behind the inspiration for the movie "North by Northwest."

Which can incidentally be purchased on DVD for $10.99 at your local movie retailer...hmmmm

Yes, they do. They also believe that he designed the Eiffell Tower, and the Sears store on Broadway and 5th.
