what is the best part of the egg to eat yellow or white and why?
what is so bad on the yellow part ?
I need to gain weight can i eat a dozen every morning ? no i don't have chcikens in the back of the house lol

Hello there,
I am a licenced Dietetic Technician in Maine. To answer your question, Eggs are ok 2-3 a week according to the American Heart Association (AHA). The white part of the egg is where all the most of the protein is. There is about 4gm of protein and 15 calories in just the egg white. Not fat or carbs. That is ok to have as much as you want.It's just protein.
The egg Yolk is the fatty part if the egg. There is 4.5gm of fat, about 270mg of cholesterol, and apx 3 gm saturated fat (the artery clogging kind). SO if you were to eat a dozen eggs every day for the measly 4 gm of protein, your not doing yor heart, organs, or arteries any good at all.
If your looking to increase your protein. There are plenty of heart healthy options without all the saturated fat and cholesterol. Ie: salmon, peanut butter, low fat cottage cheese, skim milk, any white fish, beans,tofu, nuts. etc.
I hope this helped, and by the way, your body only utilizes the protein it needs. It's very hard to store so whatever protein is not used, you just pee out.

the fattning part of the egg is the yolk (yellow part) so if u want to gain weight then eat the yolk! if trying to lose weight then egg whites are the thing to do! but keep in mind the cholesteral factor when eating 12 eggs at one sitting! try to balance it out with less eggs and drink a protein shake so it doesn't effect your health!

Egg white are a good source of clean muscle building protein. The yokes are a rich in starchy fats and are bad for the arteries due to the high cholesterol content.

Eat balanced diet to gain weight. As for your initial question; the yellow of the egg is usually fats; and the white is protien. One egg per day would suffice; additionally drink one glass of milk; you may eat carbohydrates like rice or spagetti, fruits and vegetables and even sufficient water. You may also eat underground veggis like potatoes, sweet potatoes and the like.
And please dont resort to eating a dozen of eggs int he morning; too much of anything is bad; it can deprive you of the other essential nutrients that you need; your cholestrol level may also rise.

don't eat a dozen every morning. u'll kill urself. the yellow in the egg has a lot of protein. i don't know about the white. if u wanna gain weight eat a lot of junk food or just eat a lot.

12 is too much iron each day i think 4 should be the limit and the yolk has cholesterol so ppl with a problem with cholesterol should limit it otherwise iron and protein is in eggs

to me i think you need eat as much egg as you could eat every morning and dont worry about what is good or not if you are trying to gain weight.
