Something NEEDS to be done everywhere to protect our innocent animals from abuse & neglect from horrible people who shouldn't even HAVE animals, AND prosecute those deadbeats to the max for violations AND prevent those criminals from getting more animals in the future. Not nearly enough is being done ANYWHERE. Animal abuse is rampant. How about writing up a petition to get your city/county division together to investigate & prosecute animal abuse and getting your friends & co-workers to sign it and mailing it to your local crongressman? Enough voices will be heard.

Animal abuse is way to common, but there are laws against it. I don't think it happens as much as some think because when it does happen the media hypes it up. You never hear about the millions who do the right thing for animals.
Case in point. A recent seizure of a litter of pups because they were living in filth. How much filth? Puppies potty alot, had they woken them all up and they had all just pottied? I do know puppies walk in it, lay in it, and pretty much get it all over themselves. These puppies were sparkling white, (mine should be so clean!) and I really wonder how dirty the pen could possibly have been. I wouldn't believe everything the media tells you. I am always skeptical as I have heard of so many false claims made from ACs.
Animal control seizing animals for stupid reasons is also running rampant in many parts of the country. How come no one cares when AC is removing someones loved pets because their water runs dry at the wrong time or they were left in a (not hot) car for a few minutes. Now that HEART has passed in Albq. NM, they can remove your dogs if they don't have the appropriate toys.
Will people only care when their own dogs are being removed for some made up inane reason?

Ideology or any group thinking, when taking on a tribal mentality that does not question, and takes up a lot of ones own identity, is a kind of religion. Or religion is a kind of ideology depending on how you look at it. Atheist is a disbelief. Only when a person becomes part of a group and adopts a passionate set of fixed beliefs revolving around that disbelief does it become ideology and religious like. Religion, ideology, nationalism, ethnocentric, have similar attitudes.
