shazaam2005 sorry man. I give you props. It takes a good man to handle kids and household duties. My husband would go insane.

Troll_road - I'm not mooching. My husband prefers it this way. He likes that the kids have a stable environment everyday. Less worry.

I am, a mother of 2 kids. Ages 26 months and 9 months. Being a house wife is great but there are days that I wish I had a job away from home. Especially during the teething times, and the terrible twos. But I know if I was not a stay at home mom, I would regret it later on, because I would feel like I had missed so many moments.

I got out of the Navy to stay home. My husband and I like knowing what's going on with our little guy. I grew up in a household were both my parents were military, like my husband and I, and I honestly had more memories of babysitters. I don't blame my parents. They would have gone insane if they stayed home with us! It's a choice my husband and I made that we enjoy. I have to admit, the Navy was a cakewalk compared to 24/7 care of a toddler (especially now that I'm pregnant again!). I would have like to serve longer but given the chance, I'd make the same decision to stay home!

I'm a house soon to be wife. We're not married, engaged but I still stay home with our 1 and 2 year old for now. I'm so ready to go back to work though. Don't get me wrong I love spending time with my kids, I would like to feel like I'm contributing more than my "services". I can't wait until I can bring a little money is because there are times that I feel like it's all on my fiance to provide.

I'm a housewife, too. But I will be going back to work part-time soon so that I can get out of the house and bring in a little extra money (my husband works full-time).
