We just assume you are looking for a fight by asking that question. And some will be more than happy to give it too you. There are extremes in everything, and arguing your faith with someone is an extreme. If you believe, it is in your heart and if you don't that your choice also. A true Christians won't hold that against you in any way. That's why God gave us the ability to make an intelligent informed choice. But if you know that will be the case, why ask the question?

Because you are. You are assaulting their very grasp on existence and reality. They have never attempted to imagine a world without god, and to do so assaults their very sanity. I've figured this out after countless conversations with them.

The other thing you're doing is assaulting the memory of all their loved ones, who they believe to be in heaven now. This is the one that I've had thrown in my face several times. The very idea that there is not a god is repulsive to them. Everything in their life is tied to it. It gives them comfort, and something to hold onto when they are confused, hurt, frightened, etc.

So I most definitely understand why they take umbrage. I did the same thing when I was one of them. It's a very painful and demanding experience to transition from that sort of indoctrination.

I frankly could care less if someone asks me a question of God, or questions His exhistence. People ponder, people pontificate, and people question...that is human nature. Some Christians are fragile in their faith...others, like me, are not. I did my own searchings when it came to God and the Christ...but I will say that asking a question such as, "How stupid do you have to be to believe in God?" that I just find rude, but I don't get all uppity about because people will be people, and I know that I am strong in my faith.
I have plenty of Satanist and Luciferian friends...sometimes we talk about religion, but it is always civil...we just want to understand each other. Some however are not like me, and don't want to understand you...they just want you to believe in what they believe in...which is not Christian anyway. Being Christian is a choice that was given by God...not a end-all-be-all of humanity or the human experience. I suggest that if you wish to know about Christ, talk to someone that is of my mindset...I don't throw the Bible at you(the Bible to me is more of a guide anyway, not a "basis" for my faith), and I will not say, "you need Jesus" which I always thought was a silly come-back.
People who question need people who also question and who aren't so high on their holy "soapbox" that they somehow forget that they are human as well...full of doubt, longing, and wanting a sense of self and where we all belong in this crazy world. So, if you would like to disucss anything, I'm more than happy, and so are many people if you find the right ones.

WELL I AM VERY TIRED OF READING ALL THE BAD THINGS EVERYONE SAYS ABOUT EVERYONE ELSE. I DON'T CARE WHAT RELIGION YOU PEOPLE HAVE IT IS NOT MY BUSINESS. I HAVE MY RELIGION YOU HAVE YOURS. I HAVE BEEN READING ALL THE QUESTIONS ABOUT CHRISTIANS AND HOW THEY ARE MAKING A BIG DEAL ABOUT EVERYONE AND THAT THEY ARE TRYING TO PUT PEOPLE DOWN ON THEIR RELIGIONS AND STUFF. ACUTALLY I HAVEN'T SEEN ANY CHRISTIANS TALKING BAB ABOUT NO ONES RELIGION IT IS THE OTHER WAY AROUND. (NOT PUTTING ANYONE DOWN OR ANYTHING). I AM JUST SAYING. CHRISTIANS DON'T THINK YOU ARE ASSAULTING THEM ABOUT QUESTIONING THE EXISTENCE OF GOD. EVERYONE AT SOME TIME OR ANOTHER DOES QUESTION GOD. I KNOW I HAVE BEFORE AND I AM A CHRISITAN BY THE WAY. I HAVE NOT COME HERE TO PUT DOWN ON ANYONE OR THEIR FAITH OR ANYTHING ABOUT THAT. IT IS REALLY ANNOYING HOW EVERYONE HATES PEOPLE WITH DIFFERENT RELIGIONS. NOT ONE PERSON IN ANY RELIGIOUS GROUP IS THE SAME. SO THERE YOU GO. HAVE A NICE DAY. TO EVERYONE THAT READS THIS I LOVE YOU ALL NO MATTER WHAT YOUR RELIGION IS. SO JUST KNOW THAT I DO LOVE YOU ALL!!!!!!!!! ( BY THE WAY I WAS NOT SINGLING ANYONE OUT SO DON'T GET THAT IDEA). SEE YA!!!!!!!!

If the question is asked in a truely informational way they should not reacte so frightened. More than likely they are use to the attack.
FAITH is not something that can be answered to everyones satifaction. Not all Christains are knowledgeable to properly answer the Proof of God questions.

The psychological existence of Christians is based on the belief is god's existence. So when you question god's existence you are really questioning the Christian's psychological existence and he/she cannot stand it.

Why when you ask a question like that, do you come up with a another hateful question? I am sure you have gotten legitimate answers, just because they do not justify your beliefs, that does not mean they are assaulting you.

i in my view do no longer comprehend why they could try this, exceptionally in case you have defined the "God" you talk over with as no longer being the "Christian" God. somewhat I consistently assumed the "Christian" God became into a similar using fact the "Hebrew" God. the desirable option me if i'm incorrect i do no longer techniques. Muslims many times use the term "Allah" so i assume in case you do no longer use that call then you definately've eradicated that reference, even although I comprehend that Christians and Muslims aknowledge they have a similar "God" too yet in simple terms call him by potential of different names. those 3 religions could in all probability account for many i assume, leaving usually Hindu (who've so very many Gods ... doubtless no longer who you have been touching on) or Buddhists who do no longer tend to apply that ingredient era in any respect. Now i've got faith I somewhat have completely lost the plot on my answer, yet maybe whilst you're being particular a pair of specific God it could look had to define which one. Odin is somewhat no longer the 1st call i could think of of if somebody reported God the two - i assume you will could forgive human beings for making rapid assumptions. there is mostly a such lot of controversy happening in R&S (as evidenced by potential of multitudes of thumbs) so that is probable desirable to no longer get too in contact in unrealistic expectancies of receiving many severe solutions. it form of feels to be an incredibly emotionally risky zone for some - I used to think of it became into exciting. I now tend to evade it (nicely many of the time).

That's a very good question. The christians don't have a lock on the supreme being any more than Monty Python has a lock on humor. It's just their uncontrolable ego getting in the way again and again..........................

because they are insecure in their faith and/ or facts regarding their religion. Or they think you are attacking them because they are used to that kind of behavior...it is what happens when two small minded people try to discuss BIG topics. Don't be offended just find more enlightened people to converse with.
